I'm just going to be a bit quiet for a while, honestly feel so grot and it is getting to me that I can't get many tasks done, even from my own lists.

Still be around though. Have to, else no doubt the mad, dwarven woman will stomp round and demand to know whats happening.th_footstompingsmilie.gif :rotfl:

I'm sad to see that some of you are thinking of backing off. I've been so bad at cleaning for months (I have a big black dog) but I found this thread so supportive and it's really encouraged me. Even on the days when I know I'm not getting anything done I try to keep up with the thread, I think it gives me a bit of focus. Thank you lovely flyladies :T

Well, I'm back and the kettle's on :D I've cleaned the lampshade, cleaned under the bed, run the vac around the rest of the floor (tbh it wasn't too bad as most of the carpet has been covered by clutter for ages!), remade the bed, sorted 4 crates and put them back under, one still to sort but not today, and done nearly all of the damp dusting; will finish the dusting later (bedside table), I can sit down to do that so I have finished the BR - may I have a star please Toots ;)

forgot to say that I also did my dailies and also 3 x wm and 3 x td - no wonder I'm pooped - I won't be doing this much every day!

... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D

Dinner is had, all dishes are done. TD repair man has been phoned and is coming out next thursday. Grrr, machine is only 6 monts old and it was bleeding expensive.

Rosepink - LO is having a hernia repaired, unfortunately its not a nice straightforward one though:rolleyes: No guarantee of the surgery working as its a bit of a strange one! Hopefully she should be in and out the same day, they sometimes like to keep her in overnight just to be on the safe side with her heart.

Just going to get her out the bath and get her ready for bed.

Miss A and her giant biscuit :D She decorated it with coloured icing. A butterfly, flowers, cherries, strawberries and smiley faces.

Fantastic bikky there - well done Miss A!

Have defrosted the freezer today. Been to Mr. T's for urgent stuff like loo rolls.

Have also found out that the plain clothes boys are going to do an op on the house at the end of the road. Best Friend up there and I have decided we shall henceforth be known as Cagney and Lacey :D I'm cagney cos I's is blonde and she's Lacey cos she's got a mouth on her that would embarrass the hardest New York resident from the wrong side of the tracks. :D

Half the bedroom has been done, but the other half hasn't.

Lady Liberty, thanks for letting us know about Toots, hope her op goes well. BTW, did you see I sent you a message on FB the other day? I love your siggy too

Me too!!! I kept meaning to say so. :)

Sarah, I love your DD, whenever you write about her I get little tugs on my heartstrings. She sounds so sweet, and how great of her to get herself all washed and dressed – she must have wondered what you lot were playing at!

Hmmmm.... "sweet" hmmmm.... not when she's shouting at everyone, demanding peppa pig on the dvd over and over and over and over and over again, and pouring orange juice all over the dog. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: right about then she's a complete PITA!!!!

  • Me, you really are an absolute star for helping your mum so much and being such a rock for her. Thankyou Rosepink - I do find it frustrating sometimes but still with not so D sister not helping i have to keep going. I think we will just have to box every thing up and sort it out when we get there - it is just that I know Mum will become completely overwhelmed by all those boxes in a smaller home....

Hugs Pollybear and Triker, sorry you feel so disheartened. Please keep posting, then we can all encourage you – please don’t leave, we need you. I’ve been really struggling with the lists etc and have decided to concentrate on doing my dailies (which I’ve only started having this week) and doing level one and feeling really good if I can do it – why not try that? Please stay. Triker hope you feel better soon - I agree - please keep posting - I am terrible with my lists but it does keep important jobs at the top of my mind or I will forget and anything I do is a bonus becasue I have done nothing for months - and I mean nothing apart from the washing and washing up - my house is MINGING - sorry was it is getting a little better....
LO is having a hernia repaired, unfortunately its not a nice straightforward one though:rolleyes: No guarantee of the surgery working as its a bit of a strange one! Hopefully she should be in and out the same day, they sometimes like to keep her in overnight just to be on the safe side with her heart.
My DS had a inginual (spelling??) hernia repaired at the age of 3 - it was ok although I cried when he went down. Only problem the surgeon said 'he is fine just keep him quiet and not to run around for 10 days' Have you ever tried to keep an active 3 year old quiet and still for 10 minutes let alone 10 days!!!:rotfl::D

I have got back from work - shouted at not so DD for still not doing the jobs I asked for this morning..... her excuse - it looked like rain so I didn't hang the washing out - also no point doing the sheets as it looked like rain.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

Needless to say that washing now out on line but the lovely breezy drying weather is gone....... and the sheets are in the machine washing as I write.

~Right I am off to do 10 mins in the garden and try to recover my good humour - must also ring Mum to see if there is any news about the bungalow

MissA - love the biscuit - could do with one right now as I bought 2 eclairs from Mr A that were reduced and thought we could share when I got home from work as DS is out and can't eat cream anyway but ungrateful DD has eaten both of them
