  • Good Morning All

Well I did exactly ........ NOTHING ....last night - had big plans but after I got back from work at 6 I then had to go shopping which took ages.

I also spent over an hour on the phone calming Mum down as she is starting to panic about the potential house move. All the extra phone calls last week were worth it as they have been moved up to a band B due to medical need now. And we have bid on a bungalow so they do stand a good chance - fingers crossed. They would both prefer a bungalow but 2 bedroom ones are really rare down there - so this would be great. I am hoping that they get short listed as the criteria seems to be
    • banding - now B (medical)
    • local connection - lived here for yonks
    • length of time on list/tenancy - 30 years
Sorry I have been waffling -- the only downside if they do get it is that I will have to miss most of my holiday to go and help them pack - i was going to bath next week as a friend said we could stay in thier cottage for free for a week - shame but needs must. It would be likely that we would only have a few more weeks to do everything - and there is still loads to do due to Mum's hording!!

    See more waffle!!

    Morning lovelies!

I'm quite happy with pigpens original list with or without stars, I don't do them for the stars cause I was here long before the star system was introduced and we just got a well done and that was sufficient lol Having said that I'd hate toots to think she wasn't appreciated and I'd like to see them stay for that reason plus other ladies like getting the stars - so to sum up my ramblings, keep pigpens list and keep the stars.....too complicated adding other rewards systems on I think. :)

I only did the master bedroom on Friday so doesn't need doing, it barely needs doing after 2 weeks lol so it doesn't need doing today so, just dailies for me then :D :j

valli I agree with you re: working to pay a cleaner, I wouldn't do it personally cause I'm a tight git and would rather do the work myself and keep the dosh lol My job mainly consists of elderly people who have health problems and are incapable of doing any cleaning, but there's a few who have no excuse other than short on time... have very well paying jobs and don't miss what they pay me, they are the 3 hr jobs mainly. Funnily enough ALL the 3 hr jobs have said they have a cleaner so they don't have to spend their weekends off doing it themselves, kinda like what we aim for here.

Must nip to the shop I've run out of bacci

Just make sure it doesn't ALL go on shoes :p

I think it goes back to the 'paying foward' idea. Its so nice to see that there are people here who will do things without expecting anything in return - they do it because it's the right thing to do. It also shows that a lot of people doing something small each can make a big difference :D

I think we should ALL be giving ourselves a pat on the back for being such nice people... and hope that Jo remember us when she gets a new high-powered, glamorous, highly-paid job and has staff to do her flying ;)
^^^^^ wot she said: Soappie and I might have thought it up but it's down to you lot that it's got off the ground at all so well done to you all :T:T BTW: I will be sending it off to Jo tomorrow to allow the last few people to get their contribution to me today

Re the lists/stars etc - I definitely think we should keep the daily lists and levels. I really liked the nursery slopes idea but can see that it complicates things so I will go along with the general consensus and do what everyone else wants to do

Not completely caught up with thread, as am going out shortly - love and hugs to all and see you all later when i will be doing some flying xx
