Valli... too much cleaning today, it's gone to my head... I meant, but didn't type, Why not have DD's mate over at yours instead of them being there. :) ... not all of them at yours...
I realised that BUT I don't want to be some sort of (cheap) fallback childcare...not when they have two F/T wages and I have 1 P/T one.
If the aunt can have the baby why can she not have all 3/sleep at theirs/grandma could sleep...or they could rearrange the time they spend at their dads (who has a day job) so that they aren't left alone overnight. It all seems a bit odd to me TBH
    (they are paramedics BTW)

I like them although they make me groan at times! I didnt like Friday's but do like being told what to do so :pwould like to keep them please. thanks for doing them Piggers and for stars too Soapie It would be nice not to have the kitchen on Monday but then that;s just me being a lazy mare.

Anyway have caught up which took forever as you lot talk so much! Today I have spent a mixed day, nice morning in town with ds while his sister was at nursery but afternoon was a bit emotional. we emptied the loft of baby things yesterday eve and I spent last night sorting them. A realtive came round today and took most of it which made me feel glad that someone else would use it but really sad I would nt be having anymore babies (feel quite sad now too:() But then on otherhand it feels nice that our family is entering a new phase iyswim.
I also got ds his first pair of school shoes from Clarks and nearly cried at the sight of him in them- so grown up!

So on a flylady front I have
gifted a car full of stuff to relative plus 3 bags to neighbour.
got a charity bag ready to drop off in morning
put 6 boxes in shed ready for car boot on sunday (not done one in years)
tried to clear rest of bedroom so can get in bed!
2 loads of washing done and dried
    cheque paid into bank

So tomorrow I will be attempting the kitchen pit if it is raining and the garden with my ds if its not. Or knowing our weather a bit of both:rotfl:
    1) pay nursery bill
    2) shred and sort pile of paperwork
    3) hhi
    4) nappies out of dryer and fold
    5) attack kitchen list
    6) write 2 letters
    7) take pass and photos to dads
    8) charity bag
    9) make ratatouille

ooohhhhh I see. :D:D:D Fair play to you, I s'pose I didn't see it as childcare if they're mates that want to have sleepover. :) Anyhoo...

Thifty - pleased to have helped - for future reference they are always discounted by 75% this time of year and one of the packs I bought is identical to one I have had before. Two packs will be enough for me for the whole year. Do check for the packs with 180 in though! Some have far fewer!

Incidentally they also have (slightly) reduced project books - I hold - I desire BUT I RESIST:T:T:T

    How much chatting???!!!!

I leave you for a couple of hours while the pc does it's scan thing and there are pages and pages to read!

OK re stars and levels etc as you all know I achieved my first and star today :D now whilst this is great for me it does not mean that I have not been doing other parts of the list in the past. Personally it feels like we are overcomplicating things with all the different levels/challenges etc. You only have to look at the confusion that has been wrought amongst the regular posters, imagine what a newbie will think. If they perceive it to be too confusing there is the danger that they will not join us and struggle on alone. We all came here initially for the camaraderie and support whilst attempting to tame our homes in a timely and efficient way. The support system here is unwavering and non judgemental which compared to a lot of forums makes us unique :)

The levels and stars system I believe still has a place here, it's true that for some it is the be all and end all and for others it's a bonus if we get a star. The bottom line is the levels give us a guideline for where we should be aiming. There has been a suggestion that we suspend the stars for now but I would argue against this on the grounds that there are newbies all the time who will benefit from earning a star, some people feel so overwhelmed when they arrive any recognition is welcome. Also there may be kids off from school who would like the chance to earn stars (Miss A, Princess Piper, Miss Kazmeister and Julies DD all spring to mind). Plus toots does get a kick out of charting our progress :D But let's keep it simple so that her job (and soappie's) is not made arduous.

Mmmmm so to sum up IMHO keep the levels and stars as they were and if anyone wants to add their own personal challenge then we will all encourage/cheer/kick as appropriate :T
