Weekly Flylady Thread 27th July 2009

It's only my 3rd week here but I'd like to put my two penn'orth in - I really like the 3 levels, its motivated me to achieve something without feeling under a lot of pressure to get it all done. I'm following my own lists this week, they're based on the last couple of weeks thread lists anyway and once I've given every room a good sorting/cleaning I'll follow the thread lists.

I think it goes back to the 'paying foward' idea. Its so nice to see that there are people here who will do things without expecting anything in return - they do it because it's the right thing to do. It also shows that a lot of people doing something small each can make a big difference

I think we should ALL be giving ourselves a pat on the back for being such nice people... and hope that Jo remember us when she gets a new high-powered, glamorous, highly-paid job and has staff to do her flying

Anyway, earlier, I came onto report that I did some flying - I cleaned the wortops, did dishes, and put a wash on!!

Medieval Market in Chesterfield was inaugurated to cheer up the poor townspeople some years ago when we were being done up and waiting for our precinct (which is very nice hidden behind a traditional facade)...and it has lasted. It celebrates the fact that the market charter was granted in medieval times. Folk dress up as jesters and in long frocks with pointy hats. many stalls collect for charities and it's good fun with old fashioned rides like galloping horses and helter skelters BUT it's a strain on the old budget...so, having moved out from the town centre (I used to walk in with DS and DD from home) I no longer go...not least because I am trying to buy less carp!
In fact Chesterfield is becoming a magnet for tourists and I am very pleased for my adopted town!
