Greenbee... therein lies a long tale! :D The potted version is.... When DH's mum died FIL married a much younger woman to take care of him. We didn't like her because she was a foul money grabbing cow, but equally we accepted FIL's need to be cared for. At the end of the day we felt that it was a convenient situation for them both. She took everything at the end. The sad thing is that we'd have happily given it to her anyway, it wasn't worth anything to us, and we were grateful for her care of him. It would have been nice to have given it, rather than have it taken.

Anyway, it's a long, and complex story, not really for here.

    Massive congrats G&B
Mudders - poor you and yours, always sad when a pet goes
G&B - we have told DD1 that TD is broken - it isn't, DH has turned it off at the plug, she can't see it as it's behind the machine. So sick to death of her putting it on to dry ONE thing, or put it on when it's glorious sunshine just cos she CBA to hang it out. Love being wicked!!!! :D

    This morning I've:
    emptied dw
    s/s kitchen
    thrown bleach in usual places
    ironed 14 things
washed up dish that cottage pie had been in and was left soaking over night
    showered and hair washed

Think I may have a hang of the hearts/smiley hearts, so here's my list of five today:

    1. Sort out/throw veg in bottom of fridge
    2. Get camping condiments out, refill as necessary
    3. Get coffe, sugar etc from camping stuff refill/buy as necessary
    4. check online banking, make sure DH doesn't go overdrawn ;)
    5. Check wash bags for both of us for camping refill as necessary

As you can see, I'm gearing up for our hols that we start this friday, 3 more working days after today thank god. Can't wait to leave sulky vendors, unrealistic buying people behind!!! Now before you start, I know there are some buyers and sellers here and I'm sure you are as wonderful in that capacity as you are posting on here. BUT mine are all numpties!!!!! Have sold 7 though this month, blooming miracle as no-one will budge an inch normally. Sorry, rant over :rotfl::rotfl:

  • greenbee if your ma is an executor, she should ask to see a copy of the will and a copy of the account. She is entitled to do this, and if the meeting in Devon was with a firm of solicitors, then they should provide her with a copy. If the will is very recent there are things that can be done, if it is appropriate.

haha carlsbergal I was one of the numpties, my EA stopped answering the phone to me and pretended to be out, but the glass fronted office kept giving her away!!!!
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

Cazzie - I have a 22 month old and I have been very reliant on In The Night Garden and nap time today !! Thankfully the 6 and 8 year old have managed to entertain themselves for a lot of today !!

Don't you just love In The Night Garden and suchlike.. they are life savers sometimes! :D

My little one has just stopped her daytime nap and my god I miss it!! lol I used to get most of what I had to get done when she was napping but now she's going through that phase of not wanting a nap but getting really tired so she's very grumpy! Can't wait to get past this phase!

Peppa pig did the trick anyway, managed to get lots done...

Back from work but back at my other job at 6pm so I'm doing a HHC now if anyone wants to join in? I need to make a start on the kitchen and think about tea before the LO's get back in about 45 minutes.

    I'll report back at 4.30pm.

Rain I don't mind, but we have full power fire hose at the moment:eek:

I'm sure the executors of a will have to sign off various stages. Even if your mother is not on hand the solicitor should be sending her stuff.

OK, peeled myself up to box up the cds. But... the box is too small to cope with the amount of stupid things!!! So I've had to put them back. I have however made a decision that he's got till Fri to have them sorted out, or I'm chucking the lot out. He is such a hoarder... I also realised that if I box them up, we'll just a have a box of cd's that never get sorted out.

So... instead I have sorted out the unwanted bath toys and binned them :D

So I've done my 5 things list today!!! :D:D:D:D
