Oh yes... and just received a cheque from my grandfather's wife for £250, which is apparently what I was left in his will. I'm not saying it won't come in useful, but when I know perfectly well that they sold their house a few years ago for almost a million, and that my mum has only been given £1k, I think it's a bit mean personally... and TBH we both would have preferred something personal, like family photos etc...

I'm assuming the wife is not your blood grandmother. That does sound a bit mean.

I have completed the kitchen hurrah!

Yup... apparently described by my grandfather's parents as a gold-digger. That was over 50 years ago, but my mother was a teenager (her stepmother is only a couple of years older than her) and remembers it clearly! Still, hopefully I won't have to have anything to do with her from now on... according to my dad, my mum has had a major falling out with her, although he doesn't know the details - she just came back from a phone call saying she'd never speak to her again.

    Families are complicated...

Suppose I'd better go and buy that chicken, and then I might actually settle down and get some work paperwork done!

I love the bag - I began daydreaming about making it, but I have so many bags already. In fact I need to freecycle some. I want to make some cushion covers this week.

Right running repair done on dyson until new bit arrives so stairs are now clear and hoovered :D WM on for 2nd time and a load in the TD on low energy setting.

Miss A has her biscuits to roll out and bake, we had to put the mixture in the fridge and now it has gone a bit too hard!
