I think I've updated the stars OK - can you all please check? I'm feeling a bit yuk today. I've had a dry cough all day and now I'm beginning to ache a bit so my brain's a bit mushy.

Yes - my DD - she's just recovered from it :D I've no fever - on the contrary, I feel quite cold and want to wrap myself up in a blanket. I'll cook Sunday roast but will take it easy.

Have had 4 lots of washing in from the line today - thats a record for me usually managed about 1 a week.

DD is stressing as I'm supposed to be "helping" her and she doesnt consider me siting there telling her to pick up that piece of paper or that toy is enough. Plus I keep disappearing to feed WM's and lines or come on here and try and sort wedding stuff which I'm stuck with> Trying to order chocolates on ebay on a buy it now but want 2 lots and it wont let me unless I do 2 transactions so waiting for seller to contact me back.

Hugs for those that need them.

Better go and put the lump of pig in for dinner, that'll please DD - not!
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

I have (with only a little help) repaired the brakes on DS's bike - cost £14.67 for new brake handles.
Am now seeing to flat tyres on my bike and on DDs

    Brake repair NOT straightforward though

1 - went to Halfords and bought new tubes (3 for 2) and set of brake handles. Came home and realised that one handle had missing part
2 - Back to Halfords - this was last set. Refund of £14.99 to card
3 - Go to James - buy another set (cheaper)
4 - Attach brake cable to handle (really fiddly) THEN realise I need to remove grip and gear thing in order to slide new brake handle on.
5 Phone James to be told how to remove grips
6 Am still foxed so take bike to James. Mechanic kindly allows me in workshop to watch...mechanic slots both brake handles on (with some assistance from me - honestly) mechanic is impressed by me even having a go!
7 Bring back home attach remaining brake cable in about 10 seconds - it's MUCH easier when brake levers are on handle.
    BIKE FIXED
    (One down two to go!)
Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY
