Dusky Kitten - you can get values of cars on parkerguide but I would imagine the car is worth no more that 2k. Have a look on Autotrader and see what similar cars are selling for.

    Afternoon all

Pigpen- I know exactly what you mean re the children.

Kaz-love the idea of the lottery ticket etc

Well i have been to Mr T today and bought a new printer, I will need one for when I do my college course, and I managed to get one that has a fax, scanner, printer and copier and it is wireless. cost me £22 for the printer and £25 for the inks :D:D The printer I have at the moment the ink costs about £10 per colour so this will be much better. As has some gadgets and I love those.

i am really impressed as i managed to install the printer and download the software as it didn't come with it. So glad I didn't need to ask XH to do it. although I do need to work out how I do the wireless thing. Think I need to connect it with LAN first but computer is no where near the phone line?

Haven't done much today but have bought some paint for the ceiling so may make a start on that next week. Need to phone Electricity to connect hob and extractor fan :j

the lottery ticket thing sounds like it could be potentially very expensive!!

    I'd go with the chocolates!

Thx hun - the lottery thing would be a max of £17 as only a small do and the rest are children.

Lilac pixie - Huge well done on your weight loss and good luck with the plan. You sounds amazingly organised so if you stay focused I'm sure you can achieve it.
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

The lottery ticket idea is a good one. No idea on the size of your wedding but do you have the time to be purchasing individual lottery tickets/scratch cards? Our favours were some tablet in a burgunday organza bag. I did the tablet myself and bought the bags on ebay so much cheapness. Does your wedding have a theme?

Just getting back out of bed for the second time, managed a very short, very sloooowwww, trip to Tesco's earlier as hubby needed something and I wanted out of the house for a bit.

Going downstairs now to watch some tv as I never do.

Will attempt to put some washing on but not promising anything.

So much to do but tryinmg to conserve whatever I have for hopefully going out with hubby tonight. We couldn't go last night as I was to ill.:o

Well done :T:TOn the wireless, I don't have one of these printers, but I'd guess that you connect the printer via the PC and set it up from there - you may need to log in to your router. There should be instructions with the printer. But you have to use the PC to talk to both the router and the printer in order to set them up to talk to each other. Does that make sense?

Since your XH left you seem to have discovered a practical side to yourself, and you certainly aren't afraid to try new things. I'm glad to hear the kitchen is still going well.

    - I thought about £2k for the car... so I'm not quite sure why the insurance company has it at £10k!!!

I've had a bit more of a clearout in the utility room - some stuff has been chucked, some moved to the garage. When I do the mowing I've got a few bits to go in the shed too. I just need to work out how to organise shoes in there... the problem is, there are too many doors!

Kitchen, hall, loo and utility floors are hoovered (as are the skirtings, half the stairs and any cobwebs/spiders I spotted... as well as lots of attention to the whole where the big scary spider lives!). I'm about to wash those floors, then hoover the sitting room. I might have a bit of a rest and a read then, before moving on to tackle the upstairs hoovering.

Triker - sorry to hear you couldn't go out last night. If you're not up to it tonight, how about getting hubby to order a nice takeaway, get a DVD and spend some time together quietly? I think you're going to need to start delegating more, so how about using the energy you do have to write instructions, set up online shopping lists etc, so that the family can help out easily? Is there anything we can help with?
  • Kaz - I like both ideas for the favours - not much help I know!!:D

I have braved the utility room after doing task avoidence reading for about an hour and counting the sealed pot - have £11 - more than enought for ice creams when we are away.

I am such a saddo - I keep thinking of how much flying I could do next week if we weren't going away:o:D Does anyone have any ideas for good places to go around Bath?

I am just having another cup of tea then it is off to face the dreaded Mr A to buy food for DS - should't take too long - just need to go down the carp aisles.

Oh must hang the washing out - sun has gone in but no rain yet.

Greenbee you should be able to do a search to price your car on the net. I think the AA might do it.

Thanks re the printer- I don't have instruction as it was a display model but seeing at is worth about £100 I can't complain. Think I may take the mac into the kitchen and use the LAN. Not too worried about it being wireless but would like to get it to work though.

Westonbirt Arboretum is nice. I've got a book of walks that I could post to you if you PM me the details of where you are staying (my brother used to live in Bristol, so I inherited a book of Bristol & Bath walks that you're welcome to).

So you're another Mac user? In that case, connect the printer to the Mac via the USB cable, and install the printer drivers (if they didn't supply a disk, download them from the internet - your system should automatically search for the correct ones), and then use the printer settings to set up the wireless. You may need the key/password for your wireless access if you've got security set up. It's incredibly easy (and I don't even use wireless, as my ibook is so old and my printer belongs to work!). Be brave... if you can fit your own kitchen, you can set up your wireless printer!
