Hi everyone. Have had a read of the post earlier but as per normal I can't remember what's happened to everyone but...

Mudbath....hugs for you...bad news about your Dad...sending healing vibes for him. Hope you manage to organise your Mum. Sounds like a lot of work but I like the idea of the reason behind it to sort out all the family stuff. At least then she doesn't need to actually own up to the problem which for some people is really hard to do.

Johanne...I agree with the others about pumpkin and exOH. My SIL and her ex split at xmas and he's been the one taking the kids places and spoiling them. BUT the other week my nephew (age 9) said to my MIL that before the split he loved his mum and dad the same but now he loves his mum more. Pumpkin may be too young to realise it now but when she's older she'll know who's always been there for her...YOU!

Rosepink...hugs for you...hope you feeling a bit better soon.

While we're on the subject of nicknames, DD1 gets Abby moo or missy moo. Which came about as the cat is called Monty and we call him Monty moo and it kind of transferred to Abby as well. DD2 gets Lulu...short for Louisa.

Anyway, I've had a busy hour and have done the lounge.

Off to my mum and dad's now to get DD1 as she's been there for the day baking with my mum. She's made number biscuits, chocolate cake, fairy cakes and broccoli soup. All her choices...I got her to make a list of what she wanted to make and email it to Grandma.

See you all later or tomorrow. xxx

Mudbath, I hope you can find a way to help your Mum sort things out.

    Dolly, sorry for your loss.

I've got my dog back :) And one of the nurse's gave us a lift back "because she's worth it";) She was starving apparently so she's had breakfast and now she's sleeping.

I've done all the rooms through the week and I have the evening off work now to keep an eye on the dog.

    Back soon.
  • How pleased and smug am I? I have successfully done all my days and extras yippeee! I found the schedules really good to follow but might make a few tweaks for myself next week! Am just about to go out for a lovely meal and will be rewarding myself with a lovely expensive glass of wine! My home looks fabulous by the way...hubby even commented!

hello flyladies, is this the right place to introduce myself and ask if i can join?

i am mum to 1 10yr old boy and partner to a 34 yr old, we have a rather hairy mad collie too! - we both work long full time hours and have been finding that because we like to witter away our weekends the housework etc is falling by the wayside:rolleyes:

i think i would feel that if i knew i wasnt the only one cleaning after a looong day at work i would be more inclined to get it done - and also wont be so embarrassed when friends/family visit at the weekends having to say " scuse the mess" or "wipe ya feet on your way out...." :rotfl:

    thanks merlin xx
