hello flyladies, is this the right place to introduce myself and ask if i can join?

i am mum to 1 10yr old boy and partner to a 34 yr old, we have a rather hairy mad collie too! - we both work long full time hours and have been finding that because we like to witter away our weekends the housework etc is falling by the wayside:rolleyes:

i think i would feel that if i knew i wasnt the only one cleaning after a looong day at work i would be more inclined to get it done - and also wont be so embarrassed when friends/family visit at the weekends having to say " scuse the mess" or "wipe ya feet on your way out...." :rotfl:

    thanks merlin xx

    :hello:

I dont work during the week and my house is still a mess:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Didn't go for a walk... need to go shopping now. I got stuck on a call to a colleague, but it did help clarify a few things... like the fact that if they get their act together I could be finished at work by the end of next month! I would just need to decided whether to accept pay in lieu of notice (answer - if I have a job to go to, yes, if I don't, then no... I can tell them I want to stay on gardening leave so that I can look for internal jobs!)

Just checked my email... I've got a final interview next Friday :jI now need to think of an excuse for being unavailable 10-14.30... Maybe I could drop my blackberry in the washing up...

I went to dad's this morning and pitched my tent and it's fab :D :jAnd I took it down and rolled it up and it fitted back in its little bag first time :T

Next door were hammering from 8:30 this morning (not good for my head as I got in after midnight :o ) and by 10:30 I thought it was a good time to go to dad's. When I got back at 2:00 they were drilling and sanding  It has stopped now though!

    Hi guys

Haven't yet done todays list BUT I've been in my bedroom for the last hour clearing out my wardrobes & drawers, I don't have much clothes wise and got even less now :D only got left (lost weight/don't buy clothes) 2x jeans, 2 x t-shirts, 3 x sets of work uniform, 1 pair of socks (that don't match) and 1 pair of knicks for tomorrow, I need to buy a whole new wardrobe :j:T One big cupboard was  full of this years up and coming xmas gibble (not pressies) photos etc etc amen! 3 large bin bags later it's all tidy/empty-ish/organised....and found some good stuff I'd forgotten about for xmas and need to buy umpteen photo albums so I can get all them in and organised too. FLING!

New Lakeland catalogue arrived and after a quick flick through decided I need one of everything, will peruse it at my leisure properly later.

Need to make tea *groans* did I tell you I HATE cooking.

    Ooooooh NEXT catalogue................

Been to funeral - sat with DD and exOH's new gf LOL but his mum (exMIL) sister of deceased pleased to see us there as were other relatives...was pleased DD decided to accompany me - learning the lesson that you don't go just for the dead but for the bereaved to, to support and offer condolences.
Stuff going great guns on freecycle just waiting for people to collect. I would be happy for a car bbooter to have it BTW if they were up front and told me that's what they want. Basically it's just carp I want rid of!

  • Hi everybody.

I've finished all my flying for this week:T. i have cleaned the whole house this week; so I just tidied and SS'd everywhere today. DH has done more today than I have. He has made 8 lbs of Green bean chutney annd 6lbs of beetroot chutney. He has also mowed the lawn and done all the weeding ( no mean feat as the garden is about 1/4 acre) and is now cooking dinner:A.

I have just skimmed the thread and I must say I like the idea of a life laundry - I'm sorry I can't remember who said it. Most of the stuff out of my room of doom yesterday has been put into our old dining room to be sorted out gradually. However, DH and I decided that each day something has to be dealt with starting on monday after DD has gone back home.

Dinner is ready so must go.

  • twas I. I liked the programme of the Life Laundry, it had a sweetness to it that reality telly does rather lack now...
