Mudders huge hugs sweetie, my Mum's neighbours did a similar thing - every room in the house was full of bags of stuff - one room to the ceiling. They had mass debts too and were repossessed in the end. On the outside they were all clean tidy, went to school, work etc it was very sad.
Having a very frustrating day dealing with my Nan's estate (lost it at the woman in the post office for her sheer difficultness and inability to answer my questions) and Highways are again not available to answer my call. I feel like screaming, crying and stamping with the sheer frustration of it all - why can't people just do the job they are paid to do?
House is a tip again. Need to do my dailies then lunch and take it from there. Also have zero cash so will need to go to the corner shop. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Thanks for everyones lovely hugs etc and sorry for the rant!
If I had time i'd book myself in for a nervous breakdown!!!
Hugs to everyone xxx
Rant away (I thought that was one of the reasons for this thread:p)
I think losing the odd box or ten is a good idea. If it's rubbish she won't notice.
At least reading your 'stuff' has put my day into perspective.
I signed up for this course so it is my own fault I am moving between pad and pen and computer screen trying to create 2000 words (never mind the quality just count the words) with the sun shining outside getting more and more stressed.
'Healing eye' vibes for mudbath's dad >>>>>>>0 -

Morning all, had a really rough day yesterday which is why I wasn't on here. Spent the day in bed crying and DH had to come home at lunchtime to keep me safe. I calmed down a bit when he was here but still had a really rough afternoon and evening. He was very kind altho he seemed a bit emotionally removed from the situation. It must be hard on him seeing me like that, I feel bad for him, but can't help how I am. I don't want to be like that! If I could magically cure myself I would. I do try to be as cheerful as possible.
Feeling a bit better today and have got up and done some washing up and laundry and sorting of recycling. Planning to go and have a bath and either get dressed and do my gardening or put on clean pj's and have a nap depending how I feel. Right now the napping sounds like a good option, pretty exhausted still.
Pleased with what I've done this morning tho, it's more than I've done the last few days put together!
Love to all especially Mudbath, I've not caught up properly but saw your post about your parents, hugs to you xx"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Hugs for mudbath and dusty and triker this morning!
Mudbath - can you arrange to have a big family get together at your parents which would mean your mum had to have a clearout? Your plan sounds good. At least if you don't get rid of it all you'll have the most organised collection of junk in the world!
I really MUST get on and get these job applications done this morning. I have a covering letter than I need to do for a recruiter and then another one I've spotted that I need to apply for before I forget. I also need to call the garage as they've got some parts in for me, and book a leg wax. But I really can't be botheredAnd I've done no flying since Monday...

Afternoon all, I haven't caught up yet and didn't put the computer on yesterday.
I haven't looked at the lists but I've done everything I want to in the house this week. My dog is at the vets today to have her teeth cleaned, haematoma on her ear drained (second one in a few weeks) and a warty thing by her eye removed. Every time the phone rings I feel sick. I don't even know if it's being done today because they had a power cut when I took her over.
Will try to do some reading now.0 -
Crafty - I feel for you with the studying! It can be all consuming can't it. Mmmm....must finish my two essays at some time!!
Dusty - you sound so like me at the moment. I took the code for DH's tamiflu stuff and went to collect it to be told it wasn't a valid code. After a lot of huffing and puffing the lady got someone else to input the code....it was valid. I didn't scream but I think the scary fixed smile on my face said it all!!!
Greenbee - i'm meeting with my sister this weekend. She lives abroad and is staying there for a month and i'd asked her to do some sleuthing as my mum will only let us go in certain rooms. I'm going to have a chat with my sister who's very supportive and feels bad about living so far away. She'll back me 100%. What I want to try and do is not make my mum feel cornered as then she'll do nothing. If she thinks she's getting to keep everything but it's just going to be more ordered she might go for it. I'll just sneak in and take stuff that's obvious rubbish when she's not in. Ridiculous but then i've got a chance of getting her to sort it. She's very, very defensive though....how she doesn't see it's a problem I don't know. I also need to do it with as little stress to my dad as possible. They have a bizarre relationship in that they really dislike each other....he's very controlling and I think this is her way of rebelling. A classic case of a couple who should have divorced 6 weeks after they got married...very sad really.
Anyway, on a flying note....the two drawers in the kitchen that were used for 'bits and bobs' are now empty. Not sure what i'll put in them now.
Going to make lunch and then fill another charity bag. You do realise my children are going to be posting on here in twenty years time saying 'my mum has a problem....she won't keep ANYTHING....her house is EMPTY!!!':rotfl:xx0
