I didn't know that you were counting....just off to have a count.

Back now, I have 17. Even the rhubarb is in a big pot this year as I am fed up of watching (2 years on the trot!), my baby rhubarb being slowly munched away by slugs and snails.

Hi all, this is my first post after lurking for a while and reading all your tips, this is the best thread ever! :o

I'd like to grow my own veg at home, and I've made a start with 2 tomato plants (Sungold and Tamina) a cucumber and 2 pots full of leeks, that I got as baby plants from a local sale.

Ni nozzy and welcome to the Forum!

I adore Sungold, I hope you do too - when they're ready.

Lucky you! You will be eating them in about 3 days then. How did you manage it this early?

Thanks womblin, I sowed some basil, chives and coriander at the weekend and I'd like to get some mint seeds too as I never seem to do very well with the supermarket bought plants

Thanks Sue-UU, I've never had Sungold or Tamina so I'm looking forward to them both!

Do you know I'm really not sure ,they've been there for about a week now but are still tiny, probably about the size of my little finger so I'm still waiting for the big growth spurt, its been outside for at least five weeks now if not longer, its in a growbag under a poly tunnel and its just thrived, I had another one thats only just gone outside today and it looks like a granddaughter of the other one LOL, they do say that plants put outside earlier tend to grow a lot quicker and mature faster than those kept indoors longer, obviously only if there is no frost.
