Yes - check ebay for a bed frame - I sold one on there a few years back for about £20 - they don't go for much at all.

Might be worth asking on Freecycle too?

I'll look there for the bed frame, although a sofa there's not much point because I'd have to hire a firm to deliver and it'd end up costing nearly as much as buying new!

Morning all. Sun is shining here - looks like it could be a lovely day.

Bun - enjoy your camping trip. I love camping but have never been in a trailer tent. Sounds like fun.

Maz - sounds like there is a connection there. Haven't logged on here for weeks, so have only just learned about your split. Sounds as though you are moving onwards and upwards tho....

Sammy - hope you feel better soon

Ames - can only comment on Ikea furniture as have never bought anything substantial from Argos. I have an Ikea sofabed (leather, sprung) which cost us a fortune about 4 years ago. Really pleased with it still. Would definitely recommend Ikea.

    Pooky - chicken tagine.....YUM

The head is sooooo not good....didn't drink much (honest guv) but it was a mixture of cocktails......Sage lady (yuch!) and the Income tax cocktail (I kid you not!) and pink fizz...

Didn't know you had a cough Maz....(swine flu :rotfl:)

lol, I wouldn't say you're like Kerry Katona in any way!

I was thinking about a second hand sofa, but don't want to risk it falling apart in a few months and being back to square one. I've posted in the Arms, and I'm getting the same message to stay away from Argos. A couple of people have posted up ones from Tesco, which could be good, I want to get clubcard points for an OU course. Didn't really want a leather one, but in all other ways it looks perfect.

Sorry to say I have woken up (or rather was woken by phone at 0720-on a saturday , !!!!!!!)in a somewhat foul mood. Have a headache for the 3rd consecutive day-and I NEVER get headaches!
I need to vent here(and by all means tell me if I'm over-reacting,please!)but DH got back from Bangkok (a 10 day trip) on tuesday last, and went up to Liverpool ,via Birmingham for a couple of days...he's still there. Now tonight, it's one of my best mates 40th..been looking forward to party for ages, sent RSVP saying we'd both be there, and guess what-he calls this morning to say he hasn't finished the odd jobs up there and won't be back till mon/tues.
I've been to 4 parties in the last 2 months or so on my own, so I'm not afraid of that, it's just I get fed up of explaining why I'm on my own again-and ebveryone knows he's supposed to be at this one. I'll get "those" looks from people asking where he is...IYSWIM...He rang this morning saying he'd fly down "if I really wanted him too", knowing full well I'd say it was too much trouble to go to...half a mind to call his bluff and say ok then, get on a plane...but if he did then 'd be so ill tempered at having to go back up there to finish off it wouldn't be worth it.............grrrrr...truly pi55ed off SRM xx

Oh, and forgot to say that because he won't be back till next week, I have to miss a planned trip to beach at Littlehampton-26 of us going it total, all my best mates and their kids. Been organised since May.My car has a warning light on for an engine sensor, which garage wanted £225 to fix. He said he'll do it himself, I have bought part which he was going to fit this weekend, but he won't be here. So I don't really want to set out on a long day trip with a car that could go into "limp home" mode at any time.....so I get to miss out agian..still, as long as he can go to the pub n go karting with his mates, that's ok............bitter,moi?

Really sorry to hear that SRM, if he's much longer he'll have spent more time up there than he did in Bangkok, which can't be good.
