I cancelled my account ages ago,
Your Terms and Conditions on the "creditscore matters" site did NOT state that I was going to sign up for rewardsnow nor do I recall pressing anything. I am therfore asking for evidence under the Freedom of Information Act, that I agreed to the 19.95 coming out of my account (screen shots don't count as you can manipulate them). Unless you can give me solid evidence then I have no alternative but to inform the authorities of theft and report the company, including the parent company Adaptive, to the relevant Trading standards officials.
I request my money back
Paul.
...sent them this today, I'm not going to stop until I get my money back....
when you mentioned you bombarded them Fyffes...how many emails are we talking about, should I be sending them every 10 mins or what?0 -
Maybe the word 'bombardment' was a bit of an exaggeration. What I did was send them one or two emails a day but sent them to every email address they'd contacted me on as well as directly through their website's 'contact us' option.
I actually sought some advice on this yesterday from one of those governmental consumer advice lines. Their advice is pretty much along the lines of what i'd already done apart from suggesting i write a letter to them and send it recorded delivery. And they suggest contacting your bank as other people on this thread have done.
I've also asked [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] rewardsnow [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] for proof of my enrollment and details of their complaints procedure. Not surprisingly they've responded once again with a copy of their terms and conditions and an asda voucher screenshot. They've also pointed out yet again that they've cancelled my 'account' and refunded the money [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM].
I think they're not used to being asked to explain their actions after giving a refund. Presumably most people walk away at that point. I won't be letting them off the hook though.[TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM]0 -
well just emailed them again, I'm going to keep emailing them as I believe I was defrauded out of my money. They are a bit slow in replying though which is a pain.0

Keep at them and keep telling them that their failure to respond will be reported. You have a right to file an official complaint and if they deny you this right then I believe they could be in even deeper trouble in the long run.0 -
Checked my bank statement this am and noticed £19.95 had been payed to Highcreditscore.co
Last week i clicked into Credit expert but changed my mind as i was unsure and didnt want to give out my personal details .
For days after that i recieved emails from various credit check companies , none of which i opened and deleted straight away . I never gave out my bank details so how have they got them.
been on there website but cant log on as i have no registration #, my telephone # is unrecognised as well
Just contacted my bank who have cancelled my card and passed me over to the Fraud dept .
Definitely time these companies were brought to task .0 -
had a call from my bank today , and been advised to cancel my membership with Highcreditscore .co
As it is trading as a legitimate company and the phone number stated on their web site is genuine, it is up to me to initially claim any payments back from them.
Was also advised that when asked to key in my phone number put any # in and press * and continue to press star until the operator answers. Have tried this but they are still not answering their phones .
Finally sent an email to Highcreditscore so will have to wait till they answer it, if they ever do .
If no joy i have to get back in touch with the bank . In the mean time i think i will give the local Trading Standards a call and see how i stand .
The longer this goes on the angrier i get .
I have trawled through my emails and can find nothing from them or any other credit score sites.
Cant under stand how they got my bank details:mad:0 -
Just a note to say that i filled in a fraud form from my bank and i sent it back to them the same day i received it, the good news is when i recently checked my bank statement the missing money had been credited back to my account. I'm not sure if the bank refunded it or if it was creditscore themselves but i am so relieved.0

Hi,
I too just checked my bank statement today and had £19.95 go out of my account today to rewardsnow.co.uk. I haave never even heard of them! I called my bank to cancel but was told I need to cancel this with them direct. I called 0845 0261098. They did cancel it, however cannot give me a refund so they have had 2 months worth out of me. When I asked what the hell the company did and why they were taking money i was told it was when i signed up for a free credit check in November 2010. I remember doing this and cancelling the next day well within the 10 day free trial but apparently I didnt cancel this. [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] Anyways, I will never use any of the credit check websites again [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM].0 -
I intially registered with Member Savings on the 12th December 2010 in order to gain my credit report. However on the same day that I received their free credit report I decided to cancel as their credit report was not accurate. I had obtained several others from Equifax and Experien which corresponded with one another. After viewing their credit report I did not want to continue to receive their free service for 10 days thereafer being charged £19.95. I therefore, clicked the relevant links and boxes in order to cancel my membership, I had a message on screen from them which confirmed I had cancelled and then instantaneously I recieved an e-mail from rewards now asking me if I wanted their service and that if I did I would receive £10 Asda Vouchers. As their e-mail was almost identical to Member Savings and stated the service would be free for 10 days and thereafter £19.95. I therefore straight away on the same day scrolled to the bottom of the e-mail and clicked the relevant links and boxes in order to cancel again the message showed on the screen to confirm cancellation.
I thought nothing else of this from the 12th December and was under the impression that both had been cancelled. I today awaoke to open my bank statement only to see I had been charged £19.95 from Rewards Now. When I contacted them they said that I had signed up for their service which was utter nonsense I did nothing of the kind and advised the advisor that the same day I received the Rewards Now e-mail I immediately cancelled and was told without proof I cannot get my money back. What proof can I get as they did not send a confirmation e-mail. The only message which appeared to cancel the membership was on screen. I advised him that I cancelled the so called free service immediately as I did with the Member Savings Credit Report service both on the same day and that seems to have been cancelled then why not the Rewards Now? [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM] both so called services were cancelled in the same way so why is it one was actioned and the other not. Why do they not send a confirmation e-mail to canel?
I have asked for the so called membership I signed up for to be cancelled immediately and I will be contacting my bank to stop any future payments to this company.
Their staff are rude and unpleasant, people be aware of this free credit report and rewards service which work hand in hand although claim to be seperate.0 -
Hi, i am so glad to find this forum where people have had the same experience with me. I realised last week that there were two payments of £19.95 going out of my account, theses where to Highcreditscore.co.uk and Rewardsnow.co.uk. i have never heard of these sites. i looked them up and did not recognise them.
I immediately called my bank and they advised me to call the company and if find out if they had my personal details such as address, email address. They said the payments had been on going for some time. If the company did not have my details then it would be a simple case of fraud.
I called the company and they informed me that they did have my details and that I must have went on to there website via a pop up window and that they would have sent me an email confirming my membership and giving me ten days to cancel, then they would start charging me. they agreed to cancel my any further payments.
What I found most bizarre about this phone call was the attitude of the advisor. He was unfriendly and seemed to want me off the phone as quick as possible.
It turns out that I have been paying this for a year. I feel very, very stupid that I have not noticed it on my statement earlier.
What I don't understand is how on earth they acquired my details. Does anyone have an answer for this?
And also has anyone been given a full refund from them even though the so called subscription lasted a rather long time?
Thanks s xx0
