Hi all,
You know sometimes life just comes along, eats you up and spits you out ? That's how I've felt over the last two weeks. I'm okay, just coming out the other side of a rough two weeks.
Take a deep breath and start again.DC.

Good to hear from you DC x. Still undefeated, despite everything that has been thrown at you!
The sun has come out here too, since you last posted. It's turned from a freezer into an oven, 26 degrees yesterday. Our neighbourhood started as bar-b-que heaven yesterday evening, as we were all out in force, and turned into bar-b-que hell, as some of the neighbour's parties got very drunken and went on until four in the morning. I couldn't get to sleep and feel very grumpy this morning.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Yes Scrooge, same happened around here...
I managed a couple of hours in the garden with a James PattersonPlan to to do the same today with a rather large Penny Vincenzi. Got to make the most of it as I have an OU course approaching with speed.
Hope you get some r & r today as lack of sleep is miserable.DC.

Scrooge, omg that sounds horrendous! We get similar things going on round here from time to time, the thought of not getting a good nights sleep terrifies me! Particularly now as a couple of neighbours have kids that have hit 16-18yrs and they love to have their mates round till all hours  I pray for summer thunderstorms when they get going :rotfl:
Hugaroonis to you DC, hope you got through it unscathed and ready to move on xxxDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Morning
The world seems to be full of sad events around me at the moment, not affecting me directly, but I can't help but feel incredibly sad for a lot of people, and what they are going through.
I dipped into a 'Chicken Soup for the soul' book last night, to remind me life can be full of nice surprises too.DC.

Sorry that you are still not feeling that great - these waves of emotion do still crop up.....just because the years tick by doesn't mean that you stop being affected by certain stuff, whether it is direct such as dates, anniversaries etc, or whether it is indirect, as you describe now.
Its that time of year.......and soon we will be in another time of year
Keep going xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Hi all
Been treading water. Not going backwards is the positive spin on it. But just been feeling very melancholy.
Have got some inspiration from the wake up call thread as it seems there are a few of us going nowhere fast.
Hey -ho.DC.
