    Monday, ah well, gotta start somewhere.

    Savingholmes, I wish I could take your tip. I [STRIKE]have[/STRIKE]had a yankee candle addiction, as a result there was a build up of the waxy/sooty residue. Sugar soaping was hard work, just seemed to smear it, so eventually I just bit the bullet. I guess the main thing is it looks better than it did. Particularly this time in the morning !

    Really miss my yankee candles though. The bank account doesn't !

    I have to admit that I have never sampled a yankee candle - I took one look at the price when I heard people talking about them, and turned away, sharpish!

    Good afternoon
    Warning mild rant !
    After an all out war atmosphere at work today. I came home and hit the the job search with avengance (sp?) Saw a suitable admin job, with a contact no for informal interview.

    Bull by the horns, lovely approachable lady, tried to sell myself in 3 minutes. Failed with my wittering. Polite turn down with 'call us in a month and we'll see where we are' . Because I feel I didn't sell myself I'm going to send my CV in with covering letter and she can call me in a month !

    Really can't stand this negativity anymore. So on the plus side it's kicked me into action.

    The main thing is that yesterday has spurred you into the next level of action - so tht on its own is a very positive thing. so what if you didn't get the first job you went for - very few people do! So, you got the crappy one out of the way, and now know what you need to do next time!

    So another day's target achieved already in terms of bringing forward that DFD by 6 months :T

    I gave up with STP - managed to withdraw a couple of times, but found it too tedious. good for you, for getting a reasonable amount from it!
