Hi 40sm
Hope your Mum is feeling better.
On the book front I have a Kate Atkinson underway, it's okay, not riveting as yet. Quite fancy reading 'The woman that walked into doors' as recommended on AF thread. Any other suggestions welcome.
You ?DC.

I hate ceilings ! Although they are quite useful in a house..they are a nightmare to paint. Not finished but will today.DC.

I've been looking at mine recently, thinking they need a brighten up.......I might leave it until another [STRIKE]lifetime[/STRIKE] day :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. In the name of sanity Hypno, don't do it ! Even though I bought the 'indicator paint' that goes on pink and dries brilliant white it is a total nightmare. Glossing is a breeze in comparison.
On the positive side I did have to move the sofa and the dog was happy to find an old hide chew and me 30p amongst the fluff.DC.

I use the pink paint too - although it never seems to be as pink as I thought, so I still find it difficult to spot the bits I have missed
And 30p........:T Add it to your £10 a day challenge........:DSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Right once I have finished this ceiling, it's a couple of hours of decluttering. The kitchen draw maybe hidden - but I know what's in there. As well as a dumping ground in the front room that I've also been avoiding. (Covering with dust sheet while painting has helped..!)
Also I am the proud owner of 10 huge Bramleys that DS2 brought back from his friends farm. So it's apple crumble later and apple pies.
Camera still not on ebay yet...DC.

:cheesy: Apple crumble and apple pies, doesn't get much better than that, and sounds like you are batch cooking too!I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0

Hi DC,
My mum is slowly getting better but is still in hospital. Thanks for asking:A . I quite fancy reading that book too but don't know if I could cope with anything too upsetting at the moment IYsWIM. I'll let you know if I come across any gems.;)

40sm, good hope all goes well. Totally understand emotional reading, can be too much sometimes. This Kate Atkinson book is getting tedious. page 128, still seem to be on character intros, I hate giving up on a book though. It was a R&J recommendation, so it must get better.
So ceiling 'finished'. Looks patchy and blotchy, needs a second coat, £18.99 a can of paint it will have to wait a few days. Am putting a hold on batch cooking. Will manage a crumble, but ironing, dog walking, taxi service for DS1 and knocking up a roast is enough for the rest of the day methinks.DC.
