  • I've just read my review on Nigella Lawson, and the effect she had on DS2, things haven't changed !

I have a day off, dog needs exercise and the walk as we know has me thinking positive debt busting thoughts so let the day commence !

  • Now here's a thing. DS2 has dreams of building his own BMX bike. Fine, but that costs. He appears this morning clutching 20 or so PS2 games, his old old old Game Boy and a few other bits. Spends 20 minutes researching prices on Amazon/ebay and wants me to sell the lot.

I'm more than happy to do this, because
    1) He's been listening, realises the bank of Mum needs TLC.
2)Wants to get a job (he's 12 - and the ever important half) but can't for a few months.
3)The more things I have on ebay, the more sells - in my experience.
    4) Is suggesting Dooyoo review subject matter !

    I'm very proud.

Hi Different - just wanted to pop in and say hi - good lcuk on the £88 - you can find that. I have the same thing with my horrific MBNA card - interest up at near 35% and I really need to start overpaying on that.

Oh and we have a crazy dog too - so I can sympathise on the fence panel!

Your son sounds like he has his head screwed on - What about him asking around neighbours in your street to see if they'd like their car washing? Shopping for elderly? Dog walking during the holidays while people are at work?

Thx for your ideas Linz, we are pretty confident he can raise required funds by selling his non useful items. He has a drum machine that he wanted two years ago, (and to be fair helped pay towards) only to be superseded by a love of guitar. As a result it's going on ebay tonight. Have to add that mad dog will be sorry to see the end of nice chewy wooden drumsticks...

Geranium - so we are on to thrash the beastie cards then ? Could just send the mad dogs round?

Back to work today, have managed to arrange working three day weeks throughout the Summer holidays. Have been a good girl and done daily clicks and withdrawn my initial £10 deposit from Butlinsbingo, yes I messed it up by not playing all of the free £1 before depositing. Must stop scan reading things..

Hypno don't think you are missing much on piggy clicks is a lot of effort now. Think I'll do it once a week.

Stepping up on the Dooyoo front, will really get going tonight, after I've hidden my ironing pile !

  • I'm such a dough ball. Because I withdrew the £10 on Butlins bingo yesterday, leaving a nil balance I can't play the scratchcard.

Dooyoo going well, it took over last night. Didn't ebay anything. Top of the list for this afternoon, after I've found my ironing pile...!

Where is the sun ? Who said it was going to be a blazing summer ? Reckon that was a trick to beat the doom and gloom of the recession.
