The great thing about the £10 a day challenge is that you don't actually have to challenge anyone - just take the ideas that other people have, and use them yourself to get the extra pennies in.
Get over to dooyoo........
£88 to find in the next month is less than £3 a day. That is doable.
Of course, you could just give up smoking and put the cig money to the Marbles card, meaning that you don't have to find any extra at allSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Dooyoo, I know, keep losing my log in...
£3 a day easy peasy.
Now how about stopping smoking and finding the extra....:)DC.

Have at last done the scratchcard sign up, checked a couple of survey sites for totals and was chanting 'a money is coming to me' mantra whilst hanging the washing out ! (Which really just confirms to the neighbours that fence does need to be secure lol !)DC.

you sound like you are going to give it a good go this time around!!
£3 a day, so thats like 10 ciggys...that may well be a good motivator to cut down, if you realise every time that you go to the shop that you could have put that exact amount to the card and hit your target!!
you seem really positive though so I am sure you will manager this months target no problem!Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
Morning
Yes Kirsten I am !
Just been through my inventory on Amazon, some been on a year or more. I really don't want to list them at a penny so I might list a bundle of DVD's and books on ebay. Have a few James Pattersons that I've read too so they can go up.
I've been monitoring our utility usage since the last bills came in. This time last year our electric bill was over £350 ! Southern Electic were offering a free energy monitor with their Better Plan tarriff, so I opted for that instead of the Argos reward version.
It has certainly opened my eyes. My fan oven eats money. So last year I bought a remoska and now the fan oven is used as a kitchen cupboard !
I don't actually use it the monitor anymore because I know what's going on ! For the spring to now we have been using £12 - £15 a week electricity and £3 gas. It's £16 leccy this week since the children broke up (and eldest DS fell asleep with TV on Friday night !) So with the price cut coming into effect next bill I've nearly halved the electric costs. I know with a little nagging and less tumble drying I can do even better.
Done my scratch cards and quidco, must reaquaint my self with Dooyoo and Piggy clicks.DC.

We've done similar - we are with E.on and they gave us a monitor last year, and our usage has dropped by about 25% without really much effort. Again, there is far more we could do to reduce further, and once we stop having foreign students, it should be easy to do so.....
It really is one of those prime examples of how just making a little effort can make quite a big difference.
I've done away with piggyclicks.....but I should get back into it as every penny helps. Dooyoo is doing me nicely at the moment - almost up to £300 since the end of November
On the scratchcard, if you sign up to virginbingo, you can do their daily scratchcard as well as the st miniver one.....go through quidco and you should get a sign up bonus too. Minimum payout for virginbingo is just £5 as well - bonus!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Thanx Hypno. Wandered over to Virgin, had a deja vu moment, know I've been there before, can't recall username etc, that'll have to go in the pending tray.
Found Dooyoo log in and am ready to goDC.
