  • LOL Scrooge. It's not far off that actually ! A few next catalogues, couple of old telephone directories and it soon mounts up.
Have also decided on a small paint job, have a 'hatch' between front room and kitchen, needs the attention of my brush skills and will kick start front room rejuventation.

  • HI DC, glad you got over your little blip, and are focusing on the positives.

Aaaahh the good old living room, we are nearly finished withours, just need to pop up some wallpaper on the chimney breast for 'feature wall' and give the old units to my mum. I feel your pain!! But its great how the little changes that you make seem to improves so much...therefore good luck with the hatch! xx

  • Morning
Well don't think I'm particularly good at glossing woodwork, but it looks better than it did ! Started on picture rail too so no going back !

Strange dream. I would love to work in a well known chainstore that sells books and begins with a W. I'm sure I saw an advertised vacancy in there window whilst driving past yesterday, however think it is for cleaning staff. Will investigate later. Back to dream, said vacancy was for retail staff and I dreamt I walked in and applied whilst on my way to present position. They took me on there and then and I crossed the road handed in my notice for current job !

Is subconcious telling me something ? Or just obvious I'm looking for new job ?

Well I guess the sooner Monday morning gets going the sooner Monday afternoon gets here :)

Well, even if there is no job being advertised there, there would be no harm in handing in a CV and covering letter "on the offchance" - you never know, you might be ahead of the game and save the need for an advert to go in the window.....good luck!

  • No Hyno, no harm doing that at all. Don't live in a big town, but there a few small outlets of big stores, think I may do this with a few of them.

Glad to see that the decluttering is still going strong - you must be able to notice such a difference by now!

As for the "are you sure it isn't Friday" monday feeling.......oh I can so relate to that one today :o

  • Still feeling tired, c*appy day at work, weather not matching my mood ! But at least we are nearly halfway through the week.
Going to be kind to myself this afternoon, whilst decluttering a pile of papers yesterday got a bit low as many were DH's old cheque books, new and used etc I know they are just things, but they were his things.

So pick myself up and found a TA 's post in DS's old primary school. Not considered returning to that but I think I may. Have pre-school experience. But am told competition will be fierce...have a week to apply.

Vey skint. One CC minimum to pay and I will be cutting it fine. Throw another little flag up to remember this is not what I want to be.

((hugs)) re the "stuff"......I still have all that with my Dad's stuff that is all here because I couldn't bear to deal with it at the time, so I can empathise with the waves of emotion that jump out at you unexpectedly.

Good luck with the job application though, although you don't sound too keen on the idea?
