  • Well done on getting the bedroom painted, and putting a positive spin on dog vomit _pale_.

You're planning for October already, that's the spirit. I was thinking awesome October too, but then outrageous October could be rather fun!

  • Awesomely Outrageous October! Yep, i'm up for it.

Need to focus over the next few days to complete September goals, but I want to continue this new found disciplined streak.

Thanks for your posts, they have encouraged me to keep pressing on too.

Quite excited about planning for next month now, what have you got in store?

  • Morning
Just spent a glorious hour reading in bed, temperature def dipped, but refuse to put heating on yet.

Scrooge, your lists keep me on the straight and narrow, too.

I have a confession. I've been playing the lottery for the last two weeks, despite my declaration some 6 months ago that it was off limits. Wasted quite a few quid on it, would have been better thrown at servicing beasty card. No more.

Plans for AOO (love a good acronym !) :
    • Living room needs painting, is a big job, but I am capable, just do it in stages.
    • Continue on the job search, am well tuned into looking for vacancies in shop windows at the moment. But would prefer a return to office admin.
    • Fine tune budgeting habits, I'm still very slap dash with cold hard cash in my pocket.
    • Continue alcohol free status. Big change in sleep patterns and bags under eyes fading !
Have a lazy day planned, in that nobody needs to be anywhere, so I can continue with 10 thing declutter regime.

Sun is shining, one more cup of the yorkshire stuff and a brisk walk round the fields.

  • Well things didn't go quite to plan today, think I've had another reality check. Started with a mild panic at online banking, thought I had £40 for the week, nope, missed a DD going out and found myself with £8.85. Not good. (Especially as I've wasted a few quid on the lottery recently.)

With petrol, boys dinner money, and top up shopping to buy, where to get some pennies ? Have 4 various piggy banks around the house. Thankfully I now have £38 until next Friday. Small slip ups like this are not good for me, because they send me off on one - so to speak.

Anyway, once dilemma over I decided to rewrite to do lists. Oldest one on the list was to treat (lucky thing!) the new fence panel - only been up the best part of two months. Job done. Mowed lawns too. Hungarian Ghoulash in oven (batch cooking - enough for four meals).

So still time to ebay and declutter, just thought I'd have a break..confess and catch up with you all.

Hi DC just been catching up on your diary. It sounds like you are very focused and getting things done. Glad you at least had some money in the piggy banks.... Just wanting to wish you luck and congratulate you on what you've achieved so far!

  • Thank you SH.
Am determind to stop faffing around.
Seriously need to watch these pennies this coming month.

I have found amongst the post a mail shot from Tescos with £58 worth of money off vouchers, think is I have to spend at least £90 to get £9 off. May get to use one in the next month.

  • Morning
Actually got so involved in a game of scrabble on FB last night I missed X-Factor !
Wake up to an Amazon sale :T .

Definete 10 thing an hour declutter today, been avoiding it I think. Even though lots of progress in other areas, clutter is nagging me.

So much for batch cooking Ghoulash for freezer, two hungry boys and nothing left ! Ah well.

Been keeping tabs on utility usage, at the moment we are using around 110 units of leccy a week. (£19ish ) Need to get this down to under 100 so bill is under £200, Gas is okay, works out at £3 a week, but then heating not on.

    Right on with the day.

  • Morning DC,

10 things an hour declutter, sounds like a plan! I have a vision of you running around the house to achieve that, like in Dale Winton's Supermarket Sweep.

    Have a good day.
