  • Year 3 and 5 school books (authors now in yr 8 and 11 !) what to do ? Keep a couple ? They won't thank me for it...

4 more items on amazon, another to be cleaned up for ebay.
Come to an abrupt halt when I've found a box full of everything from old 1980's walkmans to scart leads, to ends of wrapping paper, taking it out in the garden to sort through.

Have to say Hypno this was a bloomin' good idea ! I've lost count of what I've thrown, which is a good thing.

  • Right well I did make progress yesterday, tucked away under the stairs was a bookcase that served as a platform for 'dumping'. It is now all cleaned up and sitting in my bedroom proudly displaying my 100's of books to be read. Most of these books had been given a resting place in the divan draws (hate that word divan - so '70's). So now we have space in said draws to [STRIKE]hide christmas presents[/STRIKE] put spare sheets, duvets etc.

In my bedroom for the last 8 years has been a 1930's walnut and glass cabinet. When MIL passed away DH wanted it, even though it doesn't 'fit in'. So now it sits under the stairs. I have no idea if it's worth anything, the boys don't want me to get rid, so I suggested they had it in their rooms ! mmm didn't think so. At least it's out of my sleep zone.

I now have piles of horse brasses (don't ask), more cricket books and the compulsory chargers, leads and unidentified artifacts sitting in the utility room awaiting attention.

Some stuff is on ebay, some ready for charity, but all in all very pleased with efforts. :T
I must fill out an online job application this week. Got my heart set on this one.

    Here's to a good Monday.

  • Hi DC

Just want to empathise about the finances. My mtge is out next Mon, however I have 2 £35 charges going out this wek, one my error, the other not, and I didn't budget for them. Stoill haven't recd a refund from MBNA who are responsible for one. Will be on the tel to them tonite. £70 is a hell of a lot to find when a mtge is due within days of them. So, whilst I can not help you practically, I would just say you are not alone, and you are doing so well. These are just blips. Have a good day.
My debts at LBM (2009)Grand Total £161,983.77.(Incs everything, mtge, cr cards, loans)
May 2013 £124,080.27= £37,903.50 paid off WOW!!!!! Well done! There is a guardian angel out there! :AI'm visualising success, debt freeness, and happy days!:T
  • I cant agree more with PAF, blips will happen, its how we deal with them that is the main thing.

And heres a HUGE well done for yesterday...if my weekend had been half as productive I would have been sooooo chuffed. well done!

  • I think the guy, was it last week ?, towards the end total confidence not quite a Barbie and Ken doll may be in with a good chance. Think we will have a male winner though.

Gotta love it. And love Cheryl.
