I agree about the step aerobics, but love the hula hooping, even though the neighbours must think im insane when they see me giving it large in the living room!!

  • Well children certainly put you through it don't they ?
DS2 took a huge tumble off his bike yesterday, fractured collar bone and various cuts and buises to face and back.

However the experience has confirmed that there are kind people in this world. ie the young dad that phoned me from the park and stayed with him til I got there and the x-ray staff that stayed an extra 15 minutes to x-ray him. Saving me and DS a drive mid rush hour to nearest big hospital 15 miles away.

So here to tell the tale, now off to the OS board to figure out how to get blood out of pale blue favourite T-shirt...

hope DS is feeling better today...once the shock wears off though its usually just 'cool' and us parents that panic!!

I remember when I was younger, I fell off my bike and split my head open...a stranger who was on his way to the gym 'rescued me' and kept me awake etc as I was losing consiousness, stayed with me till my mum arrived at the hospital! Its amazing and restores your faith in the human kind a little bit doesnt it! x

  • Morning DC,

Hope your son is not in too much pain. Well done! for finding a positive in the situation.

It would have been easy to throw in the towel for Sassy September with a shock like that.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
  • Morning,
DS is okay, thanks for all your kind wishes, he hates being stuck inside though, going to be a long month.

Car insurance due next month along with AA renewal. Can quidco the insurance, few deals out there. But AA want £98.50 as opposed to £69.50 last year. RAC quote £77.63 with £30 cashback. Not sure what to do.

Am reading Louse Hay's 'You Can Heal Your Life' it's quite inspirational. Find myself nodding at her revelations. Negativity breeds negativity. I've read 'The Secret' but found it disjointed and very American.

    Payday is coming....

Negativity creates a very strong vicious circle if we are not careful, and of course it is easy to see it but not so easy to avoid it or get out of it, is it!

I did start posting one postive non-debt related thing on my diary every day......just to remind me that there is more in my life than being skint.....perhaps I should ressurect that.....hmmm.....
