    Morning everyone :hello:

Happy Birthday Taplady. :bdaycake: Hope you have a really great day and Taplord spoils you rotten. :D

Ended up saying sod the ironing yesterday and jumping in the car with the girls. :o Met OH in the local pub for lunch and a game of pool and then while he went back to work the girls and I had a lovely forest walk, drove out to an open garden I've been meaning to visit and then to a little harbour which has a lovely gift shop and outdoor cafe. Only bought a coffee and some ice creams though. ;) It was a really hot and sunny afternoon.
I am so behind with the house and really need to get it done today so I will be digging out some of the craft stuff the girls have been hoarding and letting them do that while I clean the kitchen and bathroom, do the ironing and hoover and wash all the floors.
Shepherd's pie for tea and then a small bit of packing as we're off to the Isle of Arran tommorrow for one night. :D

Hope you all have lovely days.

    Haribo x

MSD hope youv had some news and a better nights sleep

Halight hope the headache clears soon

i agree about celebs preaching at us to do better when they are huge hypocrites -same as polititians (we are not supposed to take hols abroard and use green cars etc to keep our 'footprint' small but they can fly all over the world supposedly spreading the green word, and just dont get me started on prince Charles and his Aston Martin:rolleyes: . Dont get me wrong i'd love an Aston but if i had one i wouldn't go round telling others they should drive little eco cars so i could burn up the atmosphere in my big gas guzzler:D

Yesterday afternoon was total waste of time, got DH to drop us in the next town on his way back to work i knew littlest DS would only want to walk one way and wasnt prepared to buy a family bus pass for one journey:mad:. in the post office we were told they dont do check and sent so we'd have to go into the city post office (thanks Gordon!!!) nipped in the bank to ask about setting up an isa really snotty woman looked me up and down as if i really couldnt afford it and said you need ID- i had a paper driving licence (that wouldnt do i needed photo id like a passport if id got a valid one) yes i have got a passport but dont carrry it round with me. she said i had to make an appointment to come back and it would take about 3/4 of an hour as there was a lot of things she would need to go through. STUFF THAT!!! im investing MY MONEY not asking for some of theirs. I'll get one at a different bank;). bonus was i did find a really nice shop selling wool which i hadnt known about so spent last night pawing over patterns in preparation for my return trip on saturday:T

have actually got blue skies here so second load is in the wm and i will do an hour or twos ironing today.
must ring kids dentists to book their check ups
need to make more muffins, made some with fresh blueberries yesterday they tasted lovely BUT next time will make them in papercases as they stuck to my silicone trays so looked like they'd been nibbled:o
    not decided on tea yet

hope everyone has something nice in their day

sending hugs and good wishes to those needing them

    Hi all.

Redruby- I'm surprised the school were allowed to send the children home like that. It's definitely wrong, especially as some may not have been able to get into their homes, if their parents were out.

Jackie0 and Bitsy - I quite agree with you about Bono. I'm sure he could do a lot more to help world poverty, besides preaching to the rest of us about it.

Halight - hope you have a good day today.

Noah's Mum - hope you start feeling better soon.

    Happy Birthday, Taplady!!:bdaycake:

    Good morning everyone,

Hissing down with rain here and another thunderstorm last night so general cleaning here today [ and spending time on here!! ] Got up to find cat had been sick everywhere so had to deal with that first, before my cup of tea

I think i will begin to do menu plans for when i get home and research the prices of small chest freezers, my last one is a freebie but the electric it has used is noticeable. Emptied it out before i came away and turned off , so i must check the meter when back.

Being away for the last 3 weeks ,i've realised i dont miss newspapers or sky tv and i will cancel the latter when i get back, i spend the majority of my time in the garden for 3/4 of the year anyway.

    Msd...thinking of you
Halight....been there with dwp, got consultant involved via his secretary, sorted quickly, good luck hun

    Taplady....Happy Birthday:bdaycake:

    have a gentle day everyone

Morning.I'll send everyone a hug now as I didnt get on yesterday due to freezer crisis.DS1 went to get some ice and there wasnt any (its an American fridge freezer with 2 doors and a dispenser that s.o. gave us)He opened the door and nearly everything was thawed out- I think the door wasnt shut properly as I'd been tidying it up the day before so my fault .Consequently our plans for tea were hastily revised and I was cooking up everything I could.Just glad it wasnt the chest freezer in the garage.

The weather seems a bit better today, glimpses of sun-hardly seemed to stop raining yesterday.May go to town in a bit- I need some space,3 big males in the house all the time at the mo

    See you soon x

    Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say hello and hugs to everyone as I am in a particularly good mood today!

DD and DS both ready to go out today, (just don't know where to take them!)Washing machine is on, washing line is full, blog written, bathroom cleaned, living room tidy, beds all made, tea in the fridge for DD to make (teaching her how to make some basic meals during the holidays) and the sun is out!

Right taking the kids to the park and somewhere where they can burn off some energy!
