I ordered it on Sunday night, Got a e-mail confirming my order from O2 on Tuesday morning, and the SIM arrived the same morning. Quidco shows 100 Pounds under Tracked/Pending.So far everything seems ok.

Just one question- I want to change the number on my current "3 mobile" SIM to the new O2 contract, and I got a PAC code from "3" Will using this PAC code with O2 Cause the quidco 100 pounds to get rejected or cancelled?

Really appreciate any feed back from any one who has tried this or is considering it.

once tracked I can't see it effecting the cashback , although keep notes of all the numbers should it not get validated and you have to send in enquirey

    Hi All,

I am a little confused about a few things regarding this deal and need some help!

I am coming to the end of an 18 month o2 contract via the Carphone Warehouse, and had already decided to switch to the 12 month £20 Simplicity deal once my contract ends in a few weeks.

I have been with o2 for about 5 years and therefore have no experience of changing my number and don't know how it work. In order to take advantage of this offer will I need to end my o2 contract via the Carphone Warehouse, then sign up for the new contract via the quidco site? I have also read a few things about 'dummy sim cards' for the number transfer, will I need to do this!?

Sorry for the long winded post, but Thanks to anyone who can help!

Hi Ash - no one seems to be real sure on what will definitely works with this cashback deal - as in our case of being current o2 customers. I have tried the 'upgrading' route as this seems to have worked for somebody else before and I was too lazy to other route. I am not holding my breath for it to work though. Your best bet would be to cancel your current contract, and then apply as a new customer. Make sure you delete all cookies first and record times that you click thru from Quidco and time that purchase is has gone thru the final process page on o2. Good luck

You can sign up to the SIM card, get it delivered, then contact CPW O2 for a PAC code. Once you have this, ring up O2 and ask to transfer in your old number to the new Simplicity contract - provide them with the PAC code. My mum did it on Sunday night no trouble - and she was an O2 customer already.

For anybody joining O2 for the first time, remember you will now also be eligible for their broadband discount - £5 off per month. Quidco currently offer £50 cashback for new broadband accounts, and then O2 are giving the first two months free. This means on the 8Mb account, you're looking at paying just £1.95 a month for the first year after cashback!

Thanks for the reply. So to just clarify, I would order the sim card first via the cash back site. Then cancel my current CPW o2 contract and ask for the PAC code? And has your mum had the cashback tracked?

Do not request to cancel, ask for a PAC code - when your number transfers, this automatically cancel the account. If you don't use the PAC code within 30 days, nothing happens and your existing account continues as normal.

CPW will obviously take your request as notification that you're leaving and perhaps try to offer you a deal - you could try this first before you order the SIM card. You never know, it might be a good deal! If not, get the PAC code off them and order the SIM card. When the SIM arrives, contact O2 and give them the PAC code to complete the transfer. The transfer can take a day or two to happen, but as its O2 to O2, it'll probably be quick.

My mum's quidco has tracked fine (at £23.33, the normal cashback amount for Simplicity - this should uplift when the transaction is validated by O2 later).

I've also successfully transferred my existing number and credit from my O2 PAYG SIM to my new Simplicity SIM, and had Quidco track.
