any ideas ?
thanks
Give it another week, mine still hasn't tracked on TopCashBack and I bought mine last Wednesday.0 -
So, finally ordered the sim and realise that I can't really afford an iphone. Can anyone give advise on what is a good, cheaper phone that is suited to this contract using the unlimited web bolt on?0

My Payg iPhone 3G S is coming tommorow direct from apple, and the sim is hopefully as well.
Mine £100 cashback has tracked though.0 -
It possible to get a PAC code from O2 and then transfer internally. No need to go off network and back.
Is that a question or a statement ?

If latter can it been done through same "distribution channels" or only from say CPW-02 to O2 direct ?Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
Hi
I have just used quidco to take up the 02 offer for 12 months for £19.58. Since this is the first time I have used it how do I know if it has tracked properly.
Thanks
They say you need to wait at "least 2 days" before it tracks. And it will not track for the full amount but will be adjusted to 100pd at a later date. Also note there have been issues with o2 trackings for cashback. Many have reported of having to raise tickets(queries?) before cashback is tracked - as I had to do with my 1 monthly simplicity plan, (which I am still waiting for a result), I assume that most problems of non-tracking occur when cookies have not been cleared before beginning process, and I also suspect trackings don't go thru if order is not completely carried out online. As for my transaction, o2 had to call me needing more info for reference checking. I advise to make a note of the time you clicked' thru to website from Quidco (in case a query needs to be made) and also the time of the final transaction process on the o2 site. These notes / info sure come in handy especially if you have 'clicked' thru to the site a number of times before actually making the purchase.0 -

2 months ago I ended up buying a Nokia 5800 for this exact reason. I couldn't justify spending so much on a phone (iPhone does have the real cool factor though). The 5800 is a full touch screen as is the iPhone but at half the price (or thereabouts). I love it, its got Hugh performances and works well for many web applications - browsing, GPS maps, music, videos etc. Another thing I like about it, is it a lot slimmer than the iPhone, more like a normal candy-bar stlye phone - which makes it more comfortable in hand. Before buying it, I thought this was a negative due to small screen than iPhone, but I now realise that it is (in my opinion anyway) better viewing than iphone because it displays widescreen format really well. I watch movies on mine (8gb minisd) on the tube all the time! As a bonus they are 'Nokia comes with music' so has free music downloads for a year - although I have found I haven't used this too much. iPhone you are definitely paying a premium for the 'cool' factor.0 -
I know someone here says they managed to upgrade from monthly sim to 12m sim and still get cashback... ( ie smooth transfer keeping number) I did not think this would work and would not want to risk signing up for 12m withuot the extra cashback.
Had called retentions - but not willing to offer me anything , so got my pac code , put it on a existing virgin PAYG sim - within 2 days- then signed up for the new o2 deal on Saturday - had emails comfirming accepted, and showing up as tracked in quidco.. ( will likely transfer number back to o2 when I can- in meantime happy to carry an extra phone around)
I also have been on monthly sim with o2 and have been humming and harring about trying my luck with this 100quid cashback going onto 12m contract. I to, also have been a little unsure of probability of working if already a current o2 customer. I was going to go down the route of cancelling current monthly plan, then signing up to new cashback plan thru Quidco. I would have done the 'transfer no. with pac code to dummy sim thing' to retain number (although hassle I think this method would have the best chance. Anyhow, indecisiveness and procrastination left me giving the 'upgrade' method as mentioned earlier a go late last night. I'm not holding to much of a high hope, but 100pd, will be a good bonus for going on 12m contract, + having the extra mins/texts (although I am unlikely to use these).
I was thinking I could cancel and revert back to pay monthly plan if cashback doesn't track. Does anyway know if this is possible and does the '7 day cooling off period' count in this situation (online upgrade). My google searching has been non-conclusive on this matter - but I believe online upgrades are covered by the cooling off 7 day law? Anyone up to scratch on this matter?0 -
Thanks, JPo, for your reply. It has now tracked which is within the 2 days and the £100 is shown.0

Hi
I purchased my sim on saturday and it should arrive soon. Does the tracking occur once you start using the sim card or should it do it automatically? As this is the first time I have used a cash back site i'm still unsure about how it works.
Btw thank you Austin for mentioning this offer, it you didnt mention it I wouldn't have heard of it0
