Hi there,
I'm still waiting for a response from HSBC too. Opened a savings account, got an email, then nothing. Meanwhile there's another offer of £20 this bank holiday weekend. I'm tempted to apply again so that I have more time to get the account set up, but I don't know whether that would help or hinder..

Been accepted for the credit card but not heard back about the the online saver yet - I imagine they are a bit busy.even_steven wrote:Hi there,

They are currently showing two versions of the Summary Box - one pre 1st May 2006 (sans balance transfer fee) and one 'current' version with said fee stated. You'll note the offer period actually straddles this change date. I assume anyone applying now would receive the earlier version and should therefore consider doing this before Monday?.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
i would like to apply for online saver account.up to which date they r giving £20.plz pm me as soon as possible.
thanks0 -
What a useless organisation. Despite promising to get in touch within 5 working days of applying for the savings account - and judging from my & everyone else's experience they have not done that- they now have the gall to offer the same deal again for another 'limited period'. Anyone up for a bet that it is advertised again for the next BH at the end of May without them contacting any of previous applicants?Ethical moneysaver0

They are offering £20 if you apply before midnight tonight. Unless you intend using the account, it may not be worth your while as they don't seem too organised with the last deal. I for one shall not bother pursuing even if they do finally send out letters. It was only £20 after all.0 -
I am constantly amazed the way these financial institutions flag up an attractive offer - which is clearly intended to attract funds and likely to pull in interested parties - yet they never seem to gear themselves up to cope with the enquiries/applications they wanted to attract in the first place. In the process losing themselves a lot of cred.
It happens time and time again - I suppose the Amex Nectar CC was the best example creating strings of threads on here though eventually, but with some grief, sorted out.
I find it odd, but at times you would think these institutions haven't even heard about MSE nor even had a look at what happens when they come up with an attractive offer!

For the record, I'm still waiting for the follow-up to their e-mail confirmation to my Easter Online Savings Account application.
If they are not very careful, I will have spent the £500 destined for that account before they contact me again!0
