Urgent Easter weekend only Free £80 from HSBC

Hi All,
Nothing here either yet, I applied for the Savings account only.
It states you need to fund the account with £500 within 14 days of opening it too, else they'll close it - I hope with it being a bank holiday weekend last week (thus probably causing the delays) that the account would count as 'opened' when the process the application, rather than when you applied, else it could get very close to 14 days, allowing for money to clear into the HSBC account!
Cheers

Hi,
Yes I'm still waiting too. The email which acknowledged the application form stated they would be in touch within 5 days. I suppose they'll have a good excuse for the delay though! Regards - sallysaver0 -
Nothing received by me yet either (or my mum or boyfriend). Really annoying as was going to find a home for some of my Cahoot pot before the rate reduces this week, but getting a bit late for that now.0

I applied saving and visa card. Nothing received by me yet.0

Ok it's not me then. Still nothing as of today. Maybe they're regretting their Easter offer.0

Hi,
Papers have arrived in today's post. Have only 'skim' read at present, but it appears to be a security form to fill and return via post and evidence of who you are i.e. utility bill, bank statement etc., and these items need to be taken to any HSBC for verification. So, it seems as though things might be starting to move. Regards - sallysaver0 -
Still nothing for me.0

The incentive will be credited by 30th June after which you can withdraw your funds. Beware, no interest will be credited in months you make a withdrawal. Withdraw at the very beginning of a month! Monday 3rd July would be ideal - only 4 days of interst lost.
I got my 18 year old daughter to apply for the incentive and "lent" her the £500. We were not sure just how long the £500 had to be left there to qualify, can anyone point us to the relevant "blurb"? I know it said that payment would be credited by 30th June but didn't know whether that meant that your deposit had to stay there that long as well.0 -
yes £500 has to stay till the begining of july.Thought I saw the light at the end of the tunnel....Then got hit by a train! :A

Well I'm getting tired of waiting for the paperwork. I was only interested in the £20 anyway. If they are slow opening accounts what are the chances they will cough up the £20? I might not pursue. How are other people feeling about it?0
