Came back just for you Al Mac :)

42nd Day Sober, 5th day on the diet :) Walking a heck of a lot too :)

And becuase I like posting links so much Rational Recovery sort of like an alternative to AA, works on Addictive Voice Recognition Technique - something my mum recommended for those of us who don't want to socially bit or god bit of AA.

Right, I'm back of to live in the real world - I've missed it out there. If you don't hear from me - Its because I'm still sober :)

    Yep ;)

I've been busy with home life Al. Getting things fitted at home, working, all the little things we do to stay living.

I'm OK, hope everyone else is.

  • Thanks again to anyone who offered me advice the other night.
Good news, my dad seems to be back on track, attended his meeting and says he is ok at the moment, was here this morning by 8.20am with a present for my daughters birthday, and looks great.
I think ,for now, I shall just be grateful for every day that passes without any blips, binges, lapses or relapses!!!:
    My best to you all

just popped in ere 2 have a looky and found the need 2 tell those with this problem that it CAN be beaten. i use 2 b a heavy drinker from my teenage years but about 6 years ago i really jumped in the bottle ( about a litre of vodka a day). 1 day i took the bull by the horns and asked my mum 2 help me as i knew this would kill me if i carried on. this she did and i have been sober around 3 years now(soz i've got 2 the point where i no longer need 2 count the days, months or years). my reward 4 doin this wos a lovely baby boy (who is just comin up2 2 years old) i'm now 33 and copin better than i ever thought i could without the demon drink.
so good luck 2 all those out there
my thoughts and best wishes 2 u all
