    Thanks for the welcome!

I'm finding it quite easy at the moment - but that's because I've taken a couple of days off work to avoid stress (one of my triggers) and I always get this kind of righteous self-belief in the first couple of days. It's when I venture back out into the world and hit day 4'ish that I decide 'just the one' would be okay. And of course, I don't stop at just the one! Thought I'd try and outsmart my drinking self this time by getting some supports in before my self-belief wavers again.

    Thats a good idea :)
I find support makes it alot easier, having somewhere there who can help, day or night, is invalubale to me - I rarely actually ask them for help, but knowing they are there helps a great deal.
This guys help a lot too :)
Today is my 4th day :j And first day back in to the world.
Feeling okay, off to the doctors in a bit.
Very annoyed tho - was stupid and put trainers in to wash - forgetting I need to go out - managed to find an old pair to wear, but one is missing a shoelace, so I've found another shoelace and lacing it up. But they feel really weird - I've improved my 'walk' since I worse these shoes, and they are totally slanted and hard to walk in lol.
Can I go to docs in barefeet?

Congratulations on 4 days and good luck facing the world - with or without your shoes! Not sure what the weather's like where you are, but if i went to the docs in barefeet I think I might end up with chillblaines!

I've never posted before so i'm quite surprised that I've already got a sense of feeling not quite so alone with this. Thanks so much for your replies.

Desperate for a cuppa - my tea consumption has rocketed! - so am off out into the world for some milk.

    Hallo peeps

Welcome to the new guys/girls and hello Westy :j I suggest you might have a little bit of work to get us up to date with you ;)

I think I walked about 6 miles today looking for a present for DD, couldn't find what I wanted  ebay I think.
Walked round the local town for 2 hours looking for the early learning centre, found out when I got home, its closed........

I reckon I was ill yesterday with nicotine, thats the only thing I can think of, 4 days without, 10 cigs smoked in 2 hours :o on the way to work, an hour later I was extremely ill feeling............. really

jayne I took your advice and got the OH some flowers with the unused ciggie money, seemed to go down well.

    Thats it!
