It's still down to you lewt no matter what people tell you, what you read, it is you, in the end, that does it.
  • Lewt really pleased for you, I had 2 cans of lager last night after not drinking since last week and felt a bit sick, serves me right. Has Fg been on today I'm really worried about her. Still can't figure the quote thing, The one I mean is when it's in a box there must be something you press, I usually do the quick reply, but when I click quote message in reply nothing happens.

yea to keep doing whats been surgested i agree me and my higher power-god. whats been written has helped god knows how many alcoholics like me and also addicts. i know you dont do it the aa way al. well done for that.
question are you completely happy with your life without drink?

I am so gald i did it the AA way, as i know alcohol and drugs were just a spymtom of my illness. if i'd never done the steps i would'nt have learnt about the illness in full i may have been able to stop drinking its not to hard its the staying stopped that is hard.

i would'nt want to live my life as a dry drunk. un treated alcoholism. steps recoverU just stopping in my opinion dont.
If i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.

    I'm about :)
Spending most of my time lying down as I am feeling rather ill today and I need to sleep! Gonna regret all this napping when I get in to bed tonight, but I'm just soooo tired hehe
No need to worry about me, I'm on top of my game :)
    Hope you are okay

Bit of a trick question. Yes I'm very happy not to be drinking. Have I found the route cause of my drinking? Yes. I have I sorted the route cause? No, a work in progress ;)

Glad you're feeling okay, have you been to your docs? maybe you should, if you have a really bad drinking prob, you have to stop in a controlled way, maybe he could help with any withdrawal symptoms you may be having, I really feel for you, if I can help in any way just ask, if you want my email I will pm it to you, I don't work so am around most of the time. If you need me just ask, like I said I was in an emotionaly abusive relationship.

I'm due to go back to the doctors at some point next week, so will mention this to her while I'm there - I don't think I'll get that many withdrawl symptoms, and I probably won't notice them anyway - I'm giving up smoking tomorrow and the depression is painful in itself. I just need to not drink :)
I don't think I can be happy while I allow myself to drink, I don't like who it makes me, and I'm looking forward to waking up in the mornings and not feeling very guilty that I can't remember everything that happened the night before. I know why I'm drinking, and I'm working on how to change the root cause.

  • Don't think trying to give up the smokes as well is a very good idea, you will just give yourself more stress, I suffer from drepression, have done for the last 7 years, good days bad days, today is a good day
