loates, what is this lady to you?
Thats alot, but not massive amounts, I would say, however its way over the recomended limit for women.
Its very hard to tell someone they have a problem, she may already have guessed and be scared by it and won't admit to herself, let alone you.

loates123, look at the back of the bottle for the number of units, a bit of an eye opener.

    just looked
    does not say
just says 1.5 litre 7.5% vol

surly if a woman drinks this every night it can not be good, if she has a problem i just want to help her out and try to show her she has a problem, i am ok i dont drink only on saturday nights sometimes.
lucky you i would love to be like you so i could drink:D she can only help herself just support her she is the one who will decide you are a good friend tho.

    It doesn't:confused: I thought they had to:confused:

    Found this here

To calculate the number of units you need to know the strength of the drink (% ABV) and amount of liquid in millimetres (one pint is 568ml; a small glass of wine 125ml). You multiply the amount of drink in millilitres by the percentage ABV, and then divide by 1,000. To make matters easier many manufacturers are now stating how many units of alcohol each can or bottle contains.

So that works out at 11.25 units, when the weekly recommended for a woman is 14:eek:

Up to you then if shes your girlfriend. How well you know her etc.
How long has she been drinking like this?

I will tell you, that alcohol dependant people, will get away with it, only as long as they are allowed to. But she may decide alcohol is more important than you.
    Sorry its a difficult one.

She has to know she has a problem and has to want to do something about it.

I hit rock bottom in April, I was just so fed up with myself and my life.

Hitting rock bottom seems to be a major factor in deciding to do something.

Talk to her. As beer says, if she finds drink more important than you, you have toput you first.
