If I'm busy, its mostly OK, but sometimes I have to wind down. I'm a bit like my Dad was, full throttle when something needs doing, work myself into the ground, but then I can easily relax for a week and do nothing, its the downtime thats a problem.
Trouble is, I do need it, as I get totally hyped up and need to come down afterwards. Maybe I need another way to relax, rather than keeping busy....... at least I'm thinking about it.

    I'm not sure I feel empty:o Or that I want/need a drink, perhaps I'm not an alcoholic, just have a drink problem:D

If chicken racing fills the need, go for it. If keeping busy filles the need go for it, if doing the "steps" fills the need go for it. What ever stops you drinking go for it.

What I'm saying is that ones persons solution, is not anothers. I couldn't do AA, please don't say I could, because you don't know me well enough;) I hope the figures are greater than 10% though:o

Finding your solution is the answer:cool: If one thing doesn't work, do not give up, find something else.

I think my solution is just the fear of losing my wife, obviously this has been good enough for me for the past 31 weeks.

Everyone seems pretty good anyway. feelinggood is on holiday chasing reindeer, saw gentlepurr last night on the site, seems OK as well. So is the day good, really?

Seems pretty good for some people, I think alot about all the people that have posted and not come back, especially the ones with drinking spouses and it brings me down a bit. I know I can't care about everyone who comes on here and I have to care about myself first, but I still do.

Actually thinking or reading about the stuff done by partners was always one of things things that worked for me. But then at one time, I never even looked at the thread for 2 months and at that time, that worked for me as well. The thing that works seems to change all the time.
