Brother......I'm running out of options here, work with me

My brother is moving out! He's got a job in the city, and a place. Its funny, it feels like he is younger than me, not older!

Its not that big a deal - I'm strong, I'll cope alone. Better to be alone and happy isn't it?

What I'm saying is that ones persons solution, is not anothers. I couldn't do AA, please don't say I could, because you don't know me well enough;)

I know exactly the feelings you describe as I have felt them myself. when I had them I found it reassuring to find out that other recovering alcoholics also felt the same. I, as you probably know, was and am a regular AA member and it was at AA that I found the identification as for example "feeling empty"
I am not going to say that you could "do" AA as, as you say, I don't know you.
I am interested in what you mean by "doing". When I joined AA there was a period when I worked overseas and could not attend AA meetings. So, if you think that attending meetings is neccessary I know that they are not. I was aloner for 2 years and I kept in touch by letter. Nowadays with cyberland it is much easier to keep in touch. As you seem to find this forum helpful perhaps you would find online AA helpful. I appologise for being presumptous in suggesting this but your posts speak to me. If you wish you can PM me and I'll give you my phone number or you give me yours and I'll phone you.

Morning ac, bit cold innit? The chickens were frozen to the ground and I had to pour boiling water over their feet to get them off!

Sounds a bit like me, but I did manage to get to sleep about 3am, yep go and do your undie draw or something
