One thing, and i apologise if this has been covered before but I am asking as the wife of a OH in denial - he has definitely cut down on the amount he drinks - but we had a night out last night and he had about 4 pints and was really embarassingly drunk. From what I have researched about this, it could be that he has lost tolerance to alcohol - or the alternative is that he is still secretly drinking and this tipped him over the edge. I really really want to beleive the first alternative - has this happened to anyone else???L[/QUOTE
I have never seen an alcoholic get "embarassingly drunk" on just 4 pints. I have occasionally come across some who have lost all tolerance to alcohol but they have all been in a very advanced state of breakdown. I have met many (including myself) who would lie "on their mother's grave etc." that they only had so manySomething Really Interesting0 -

Am I right, not having had a drink for 30 weeks, you think/know it wouldn't have more affect on me now than it did then
I've only had two, sounds very familiar:o0 -
Self help? Personally, I help myself to alcohol on a daily basis...0

Still I am very curious, re what the hell you are talking about  , so you have a pm.
And yes the drink would effect you more now, however if you went back to drinking your tolerance would go upto previous levels very quickly. This is only based on my own experiences, I haven't read that anywhere.“Pleasure of love lasts but a moment, pain of love lasts a lifetime.”0 -
