Sorry to hear that Mich, hope it gets better soon.
I should have started some hymn singing this morning, that might have helped :rotfl:0 -

hey everyone i'm back was wondering if you could give me some advice...to cut a long boring story short..my hubby is an alcoholic i used to say he had a drink problem but i think we are past that stage now....i know it is up to him if he is going to stop ..i know i can't do it for him ...but do you have any advice on how i can help him if at all....or do i start looking out for our son and myself...i know that sounds very selfish of me to say that but i must admit my love for him is starting to die..and much as i don't want our relationship to end i do love him ...if it keeps up (the drinking) i just dont know if i am going to be able to cope...any help appreciated0

Have a look at the first post on the thread and you should find organisations that will help but feel free to come back here and just vent or have a read of the posts.0 -
i have heard of alanon and gave it some serious thought but to be truthful have put it on the back burner at the moment i want to see if i can help him myself..i have no doubt i will have to go to al anon at some point .....he has tried counselling but came out of that worse than he went in ..wont even think of AA ...i found the first couple of posts funny (not in a ha ha way ) i could totally relate to them ..my hubby has tried to cut down etc ..and ate and ate chocolate something he doesn't like..his mood swings have gotten worse ..but really i'm looking for some practical advice if that makes any sense0
