Alcohol self help thread II

Looks like I've stepped into the lions den.
Nothing to drink tonightI watched telly (Manchester passion which was fantastic) pottered round the house doing a few odd jobs and now I'm off to bed.
Wish me luck! The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides.

trafalgar wrote:absolutely ,it's ok with me,it seems some object because other threads (like the boots one) aren't allowed to do that, prehaps you can understand now 'the saints' objectons earlier
prehaps this thread should return to alcohol issues(with supportive banter obviously)and not get too bogged down with chit-chat too much......prehaps that is the issue here, the support idea is getting buried and if that happens it won't be able to help/support others as it was intended......just a thought
I have no idea what the boots thread was all about because I probably wasn't around.. but I feel that the difference is that the boots thread may have got chatty??? and it was supposed to be about boots??? forgive me if I'm wrong here?
This thread has been about alcohol abuse and every poster has been either suportive or else posted about alcohol abuse.. now wouldn't you think that's fair enough? it certainly doesn't warrant the sick responses from Elvis and I_K_A_ would it? and now from the new poster "The Saint"? it's really naff that these posters impose on such a well meaning thread that is doing no harm to anyone whatsoever and only makes people feel nervy and upset.
I just can't believe what I'm seeing here, I only joined in Feb and thought I found a lovely forum full of Brits who could help and support each other0 -

may I suggest that people on this thread that find other MSE members abusive or intrusive put that member on IGNORE, their posts will then not get in the way of any support you are getting and I can delete them asap,

Come on guys........... let's get back to normal and forget...........0 -
Hiya, glad you all got your little home from home back, and hopefuly people will leave you alone
You guys are doing great at supporting each other, talking to like minded people can really help, it doesnt matter what its about. I am happy you have somewhere to come when you feel weak or alone, and get the support you need through times like that.
My nana was an alcohlic when I was younger and saw the light and went through the fight to give up, its great that you lot are striving for the same need. I wish you all the luck in the world in this. You are all so brave confronting your demons espicially on a puplic forum.
Take care and my best wishes
Wanty xx
PS dont feed the trollsDont let them get you down and dont let one small minded person make you back track on all the good work you are doing.
