i called m&s today as my order is still showing as dispatching soon - having ordered before the official sale start it was due to arrive today or tomorrow so was calling to see what was holding it up...
the lady i spoke to said that orders dispatched with royal mail will still say dispatching soon, and that if it doesn't arrive by friday i can call them and they will send replacements... fail to see how that will work seeing as everything is now out of stock, so will have to just cross everything... very strange system, has anyone had an order come by royal mail but never shown as dispatched? doesn't sound right to me :cool:

they wont be able to send replacements as all the sale items will be out of stock. Fingers crossed you get the original shipment.

Dam, ordered a suit last night, total cost £80
just checked its gone down to £50

can I cancel the previous order
there seems to be an option to, but not very clear
any advice would be appricated

I ordered 3 small kids items 11pm night before the sale got a despatched email on Sat that said delivery by RM Mon-Tues, postie brought them today in 3 separate parcelstoday

There is a cancel option on there but while you are finding it, i would be ordering your cheaper suit. You dont want to lose out while you figure it out. You can always return the other one in the worst case scenerio i.e. both arrive.

wouldn't you know it, this option is not available on that order
(only ordered it less than 24 hours ago to)

so I have reordered the suit again (at the cheaper price)
and there is an option there to cancel this order, Typical

any other options apart from returning to the shop

they haven't broken their Terms & Conditions...

Their system is simply exytremely busy....and there is a queue on the database server for sending out those automated emails...

You simply have to keep checking and be patient, and whatever you do, don't draw customer service attention to items that are taking too long as they will solve your problem by cancelling all items showing on their system as Out Of Stock, even though your items might have been picked in your order and waiting for packing!

Does anyone know when this is instore? Is this the sale they put it at non-returnable and everything is £1-£3?

My order was despatched on Sunday and arrived yesterday. 4 items were missing from the original order. I've received 2 emails. Where are the other 2 items or emails?

10 years of software development gives me enough experience to understand databases and automated emails so I don't buy such an excuse. I have not been sent an email for 2 items nearly a week after placing the order and therefore M&S have broken their T&Cs.
