The way the M&S system works is by allocating stock to the first available (requested) despatch date, so always go for the first available date for home delivery, never store delivery.

I found this out to my disgust at the weekend. Ordered over £150 of stuff in the early hours Thurs for home delivery on Friday (1st available date) and everything was delivered. Payment was taken immediately. Then spotted a few pairs of shoes and was going to have to pay delivery so opted for the 1st available instore delivery date (Sunday). Not a good idea, as the stupid M&S system allocates all orders by requested delivery date. SO.....by the time it got to Sunday, everything was out of stock !!! What a joke !!!!

My Wed Pm order arrived in full on Friday, nominated delivery. Now I've had an email to say the order I placed on Thursday at 9.30 am is on it's way...5 out of 7 items but all ladieswear. I haven't had any out of stock emails for the missing items. Yesterday I returned some of my Friday delivery for refunds so this made me realise that stock levels might fluctuate with returns too.

I ordered 20 things split into 3 orders

11 items, mixed ladies & men at 9.15 Wednesday evening, all dispatched today.

3 items, ladies at 6:30 Thursday morning, all dispatched today.

6 items, ladies at 2:00 Saturday afternoon, all dispatched and received today.

I know I am one of the lucky ones but I have had no bother with M&S online for nearly two years now.

I am very lucky too, saw how to get the stuff early and belive I was one of the first to put in an order, odered £95 worth of kids clothes, and all turned up today!:j

I ordered early hours of thurs morn. Delivery 28th, and it all turned up complete Really pleased, thumbs up from me for another m&s successful sale!!

In Kidswear the only things with further reductions i have founf upto now are the sunglasses and belt
