Got my pack today.
25yr low cost endowment @ 19.82 per mnth, 12 mnths to run, on track and with profits.
880 share allocation.
Very pleased with that.0 -
Steady on GG.
Lady K has got something far better than Lord K.
MSE.
It might be best for us to ensure a yes vote and actually get possession of the shares, before we decide on sell/hold/buy tactics.
But the weekend press tide of opinion veered towards holding the shares you were issued with for free and waiting to see the actual terms of any offer to members to purchase additional shares.0 -

I think you need to understand what shares are and make your own judgement as to what they may be worth in a year's time. Have you got a husband that you could ask
GG
Well I mean... I knew roughly from a guesstimate on here yesterday from Reportadvisor but the share info came today and were a bit more than expected so I knew roughly but wanted an idea on the updated extra
Hmmm... Even if I did have a husband (which I don't) not all husbands know the info you can from MSE and in fact some wives know more than their husbands in some casesThanx

I think you've covered all the possible angles there nm!!!!!0 -
Hello-Ive been watching with interest as information built up here-got my allocation today-total of 671 shares on a 25 yr endowment taken out in Oct88, paying in 43.16 per month-looks about right?
PS:Endowment has been sadly underperforming some time now -but as I had no paperwork to prove anything (most odd this as I keep everything)-I thought I had no hope of redress for misselling - however, onthe foot of a small article in the Observer 2 years ago -long before I caught the MSE bug-I decided to go for it.
Took a while to est. that Halifax were now liable (they had taken over Mortons- a NI Estate agents- late in 1988/early 89)- and they came up with 3,500 very speedily and no hassle. The reason I inclde this story is to add my voice to the view that YOU can do it and that the lack of documentation need not deter you from trying if you feel you have a genuine claim.
Thanks to those who have shared their infro- and to those who are doing the maths

Hi there, I have had a letter from Standard Life to say that I'm not entitled to shares, presumabley because I am the second name in a joint policy, but my husband has heard nothing. Are these still going out, or should I contact them?0

Received my letter today.
Took out policy in Aug/Sep 1988 for £45k, premuim of £55pm.
Shares allocated 821
25 year policy0 -
Finally got mine. I've been allocated 203 shares, which doesn't seem a lot. However, bearing in mind that its for a pension policy started in mind 2001 where only 25% was going into the WP fund.....its roughly what I expected (not what I hoped though of course).
Now just have to decide on my vote....Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.0 -
