Some people make my blood boil

Most non-native speakers of English would really struggle with "I should of" as it's just meaningless grammatically.
Language is about communication; spelling, grammar and punctuation help make your meaning as clear as possible. Otherwise we may as well go back to grunting and sniffing each other's bits to get the message across (insert joke about teenagers/meat market night clubs here).
What I find perplexing is that basic grammar is not some esoteric knowledge jealously guarded by a select number of Oxbridge graduates; it was taught to me at the age of 9 at my local comp. It is not hard in any way, and even if you only ever read the trashy free commuter rags and the pleb tabloids everything is still spelt and punctuated properly. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
Boasting about what?
They're not exactly 'Atom Splitting' marks are they
Funny you should say that....
My grandad has my results on the wall in his house (I take back what I said earlier - grandparents are great people to boast about your achievements to
) and the doctor had to come round to see him one day. The doctor brought a medical student with him and one of them said to my grandad that my grades were better than his  and there was me thinking doctors had to be really clever! 0 -

Absolutely agree.
I'm one of those annoying (at least to the OP) people who notices bad grammar, lack of paragraphs, spelling mistakes, text speak (Argghhh), lack of punctuation, (and don't get me started on apostrophe's  in the wrong place) but I don't make a point of pointing it out to the poster.
However, some posts are very difficult - sometimes impossible - to read because of the above problems.
In those cases, I just give up.
I would have asked Blakespops if he/she has been a victim of this criticism culture on MSE forums but once they've logged out, they're not using the site again.

It does make my blood boil though that your trying to help others yet you get attacked by people. not just me but have seen it with lots of posts I have read. now once I log out I am not using this site again as I do not come here to be attacked in that way. some people just like to think they are so much better than us.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
If you look at the OP's other posts someone else objected to something he did and it looks like he's got a mood on because of that.....0 -

What do you mean?
What do I mean?
The OP appears to have thrown his dummy out of the pram:Blakespops wrote: »now once I log out I am not using this site again as I do not come here to be attacked in that way. some people just like to think they are so much better than us.0 -
What makes my blood boil is the sort of person who goes "Being bright doesn't make you a better person." It's just like the views of a school bully.
Intelligence is a positive quality, just like politeness, honesty, kindness etc. I’m proud of my abilities, they do make me a better person. And when people try and re-define them as irrelevancies, ooh it’s so upsetting.
Now on the topic of spelling: some people are dyslexic and struggle with writing. And that's fine. Most of us make the odd spelling mistake here and there, miss out the odd word or punctuation mark. That's fine too.
But if you're not dyslexic, it is polite to make an effort to write in good clear English.
I beg to disagree.
Intelligence is not always a positive quality.
It is a bit like strength. It can be abused/mis-used.0 -

I've just read one of the threads that made Blakespops' blood boil to THIS extent :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:  (something to do with Carling Cup tickets) and he/she seems to have taken offense at pretty much nothing.
