There's very little swine flu here in France, but everyone is amazed at how much of it there is in the UK. Don't know why because the countries aren't that far apart, are they?
Perhaps it is a social/lifestyle thing. In France maybe they live more spread out or don't mix and socialise in close confinement. I think they do tend to spend more time with their families than strangers which may be a factor. Also tend not to use public transport .. just thinking of things... My mind is wandering as I have been up since 7.30 and am getting very bored.:rotfl:

Take care of yourself Sunnygirl. :kisses3: Hope Buster comes home soon.
Sorry about little dog's bottie Ruby. I too would try for a second opinion. ;)
Welcome to Webitha :hello: Don't worry about asking stupid questions. Churchie doesn't. :D
Lovely to see you Beth :hello:
Belated happy anniversary Mrs Moneypenny.
Hope you get a chance to rest NPM.

Dry and brightish here so far so I've risked a load of washing on the line. Have mopped the kitchen floor so when that dries I will tackle the holiday ironing. It will probably take me all day as my firend usually does it and she's away. :o
Need to get the pup and girls walked too so we'll probably hit the beach.

Lots and lots of tomatoes coming this morning. The cherry ones seem to grow really fast. :D

    Have a lovely day everyone.

Morning Everyone the day started here with blue skies and sunshine and before the flaming kettle even had chance to boil the heavens opened and its been drizzly ever since:mad:I had my deck furniture delivered this morning and with the new decking arriving yesterday I want to get out into my garden and get things sorted now but weather is against me.You watch next week when OH is back at work the sun will be cracking the flags here:mad:

On a more domestic front and thankfully happier note OH is papering my living room walls as I type.I wanted something a bit nicer this time but crikey hasnt the price of wallpaper shot up! I paid £25 per roll for this wallpaper and it isn't gold plated or anything like that its just a nice pattern.Hmm maybe on a cost-cutting front i should have gone for an ugly wallpaper:rotfl:.What with the cost of the wallpaper, the new corner unit,tv unit and decking and deck furniture my poor old purse has gone into cardiac arrest so my lot will be on chips and egg until things improve:rotfl:.Only joking folks before any of you start organising international aid drops the cupboards and freezers are full but I will have to be careful with the pennies

MSD-Hope you have some news of Tristan today its the waiting and not knowing thats the killer I find.I know we all say no news is good news but its not good news for those waiting for news IYKWIM

RR-Crikey £1000 is an awful lot of money for an op and it makes me realise I really couldnt afford pets

Sunnygirl-Hope the Dreaded Piggy virus is kind to you and the symptoms are not too severe. My daughter has asthma and we were told by the consultant that sometimes the side effects of the Tamiflu can be worse than the actual flu:eek:

Happy Birthday Snowy:bdaycake:I hope you do something outrageous to celebrate your birthday as dont you know its the law for all us ladies to misbehave something awful on our birthdays as the best birthdays are always remembered for the things we got up to that are out of the ordinary rather than the mundane one:rotfl:

Churchmouse-Dearie me you are coming in for some ribbing from your so called friends today arent you? Its amusing the heck out of me:D:Dbut remember revenge is sweet:rotfl:?

Try the plastic blade if you have one.....

A reamer is a juicing thingy that you squeeze into a cut lemon / lime / orange.

It might help if you tell us the make,as mine doesn't have a "plastic thingy". I have a Kenwood, and also was very disappointed with the lack of instructions.

Does it say which tool to use on the recipes that come with it?? You may find something similar and then use that tool.

nope i tried that, but having now tried to use it as the blender, its not doing anything at all , i think i may be a dodgy one . have lined all dots up but nothing is happening....tried to call the number in the booklet but the company has gone into administration (probably hence on offer) so might have to scrape contents out of the blender and return to argos :mad::mad:
