Tesco Clubcard Points Bonus Discussion

Just tried using the code for a non-tesco mobile PAYG and it made no difference to the number of clubcard points, so shall not go ahead witht the order.

I tried it last night and the 2,000 points appeared in the checkout - great!

However, I slept on it instead of diving right into a purchase, and when I went back to the checkout today to finish the purchase.......no 2,000 anymore, "Sorry, used too many times yada yada yada".

Oh well, the early bird etc.

I have just tried to order as well - the coupon doesn't work - says has been used too many times. That will teach me to dilly and dally - I need a phone too! Ah, well, back to the research!

Been to Tesco and the the 2000 points have been added on to my receipt.

Was able to use code to get points. Delivery promised today between 7am and 7pm. Two of us waited in all day. No delivery.
Rang Tesco at 7.10pm to be told the courier had tried to deliver and we were out and also claimed to have left a card.
They said they could re-arrange delivery for Monday, but, we would have to be in all day again. I said that wasn't convenient.
They gave me the option of cancelling the order which I took.
I will not be ordering from them again!

Checked my club card balance on-line, but the 2000 points haven't appeared yet. Does it normally take a day or two to show up? I've arranged for the phone to be delivered to my nearest Tesco, so maybe the points will show up once I've collected it?

It usually says they will be there before the Feb statement and it can take up to 6 weeks for them to be added. Just keep your receipt.

My phone was ready for collection on Thursday.
I collected it on Friday.
Points appeard on a receipt on the Saturday

Now. How do I unlock the Nokia 7100.....

I bought the "Orange Vegas phone including £10 credit" for £53 and sucessfully used the code to get an extra 2000 points.
It arrived yesterday but not actually wanting a new phone, I stuck it on ebay for £41 and it sold within the first hour.
After taking into account p&p and ebay fees, this means that I've "bought" £21 of clubcard vouchers for £18. Because I always convert all of my vouchers into deal tokens , the way I see it is that Ive got over £80 of pub and restaurant vouchers for £18 and I'm dead happy with that. :-)

I tried to buy another identical phone tonight (using a different tesco account) but got the message saying that the code had been used too many times etc.

Do you know why people think it's wrong to 'buy' clubcard vouchers this way?
Sometimes it's not as cost effective as it seems, eg for food you might be able to get better deals using the cash directly rather than clubcard vouchers. But I'm sure if you are shopping around carefully, the clubcard vouchers are a great deal.

It makes me shudder watching people hand them over to the Tesco cashiers!
