Just ordered Leona Lewis & Susan Boyle CDs. That's my mums birthday and christmas sorted.
As I write this, a ladybird has just landed on my keyboard. She won't find many greenfly on there!!!
    Never Knowingly Understood.

    Member #1 of £1,000 challenge - £13.74/ £1000 (that's 1.374%)

    3-6 month EF £0/£3600 (that's 0 days worth)

  • I queried the 500 points per item and was told that the 500 points will be added to my February statement. However, the customers services department did say that the 500 points per item was for a maximum of 10 different items. I could not find this statement in the terms and conditions. On the Martin Lewis site it does say that it can be for multiple items but not for more that one of the same. Who is right??? I have emailed the entertainment site but am still awaiting a reply. If i order 12 different things will i only get the points for the first 10 items? Does anyone know

The offers in this week's email are fine - but to suggest that the vouchers are worth 4 times face value is ridiculous. They're worth, in reality about twice face value because pretty well all the deals are priced at about twice their real value.

I think this depends on what offer you want.

I am studying for a post grad qualification through the Open University. The modules range between £650 - £1080 per module.

I have just ordered one of each 500 bonus point offer, however small the profit through the tescos site. You can also get 8% cashback through Top Cash Back on all orders. I am currently getting 110% of cashback this month.

Therefore, I have spent £282.06. I will get £24.82 back as cashback. I should get 11,500 bonus points - which I'm PRAYING work - plus got 564 normal clubcard points.

By converting these to vouchers to save money off my diploma, thats £480 off - a big chunk out of my £650 next module. The prices aren't over inflated, it's exactly the same, hence what I mean by it depends on the offer you save them for. I agree, some of them can be overinflated, but if you get enough reward vouchers to get them for free anyway, then you're quids in.

I am planning on selling the items on eBay, but even if I didn't sell ANY, thats a profit of £222.76. :T

I have also just called and again been told that the extra points will be only available for 10 items per order. I was told, if I wish I could place another order and qualify.

I was also told the points are being credited manually to prevent any abuse of the promotion. I then asked if it would be viewd as abuse if a customer placed more than one order to get more than 10 x 500 points, and the operator didn't know.

Unless we can get anything concrete, I think the safest option would be to only place one order for 10 items in the promotion.

I don't think you're doing anyone any favours describing this as '£11 profit'.

If you bought a £9 CD, you would get a £5 voucher. If you convert that to £20 of deals and then to cash by ebaying it, you'd get about £8, looking at past sales. Take off fees, and you're left with £6.75

It is NOT possible to make £11 worth of profit from this deal.

Yes, you do get £20 of deals for £9, but it's not a twenty pound note, is it....

I bought a CD for grandchildren for £8.95. Thats 516 points at present. We use the Eurotunnel 3 x per year and use our points under the deals scheme. Rounding the figures up that's £5 points x 4 = £20 off of the Eurotunnel bill less £9 for the CD. that's £11 off of my ticket. Same as a £20 note in my money. By the way ... I actually bought 4 CD's. My July trip to France cost me £2! Don't tell me that wasn't a bargain

I do hope that the previous message isn't right ... for your sake! I refer to the offer of 500 points for the first 10 items. Otherwise your calculation is out by about 6,500 points - or £260 less than you thought?
  • Latest Tesco club card offer for CDs - this expires on Sunday 15 November but Leona Lewis' CD not released until Monday 16th - how does that work?

I'm not sure the particulars on Eurotunnel, but generally most of the Tesco items, can be bought discounted through other sources.

In other cases you might not want anything they have, or if you do, you might not have the organisation to book everything in advance to take advantage.

If you are a hard-up 'money saver', you should not be spending money on DVDs and CDs and the like unless you have identified what it is you are going to use your vouchers for, and would be buying it otherwise. Otherwise these Tesco deals are very often simply additional spending.

This doesn't apply to you of course, as you know what you're going to spend the cash on, but there are plenty of people to whom it does.

it is a pre-order. You place the order today, and they deliver it when it is released. The order date is what counts, not when they dispatch it.

Would have agreed with you before Topps Tiles but for me this deal is great, no add on costs so 4x , it's the first deal I've wanted since Motorpoint.
