Tesco Clubcard Points Bonus Discussion

I have just ordered the Leona CD, but when I went back to the home page, it wasn't listed as one of the titles with 500 bonus points.

I followed the link directly from MSE to tesco entertainment at first though and it was there then?

Hi - the Leona CD is still there - it's just listed in the CD section, not on the "top deals" list.

Customer services say that the points will still be awarded, even though they are not showing up at check out, but we are just confirming with the press office to make absolutely sure.

I rang Tesco Entertainment before to check...they have a pre-recorded message after you press 1 for CD's which states (along the lines of)...'the 500 bonus don't show up at check out but will be added to Februrary's clubcard statement'.

Don't go buying lots of the same copies to get lots of points on this offer-it's 1 lot per unique title only.I've copied the T&Cs below.

500 extra Clubcard points (Extra Points) will not be shown in the online basket at the checkout. They will be will be awarded in the February Clubcard Statement Extra Points will be awarded for each unique title purchased from the promotion title range. Multiple purchases of the same title will not be eligible for Extra Points. Extra Points will not be awarded for orders cancelled by you or where you return promotional titles. This does not affect your statutory rights. The Extra points promotion is for personal use only and Tesco Entertainment reserve the right to withdraw or amend this promotion where we reasonably suspect abuse

so if i order 2 different CD's i will get 1000?

Hi guys,

The Tesco press office has confirmed that people can use the deal multiple times, but only once for each specific product. So if you buy two Susan Boyle CDs, you will only get 500 points. But if, for example, you buy a Susan Boyle CD, a Harry Potter Blu-ray and an Ice Age 3 Blu-ray, you will get 1,500 points.

The T&Cs have also been updated to say that the 500 extra Clubcard points will not show in the online basket at the checkout, but will be awarded and appear in your February Clubcard statement. Offer ends Sun 14 November.

Just one last thing - With the 500 bonus points thing, if you take advantage and buy two different things in the offer, can you buy them both in the same transaction or do you have to do them 1 per transaction?

What about orders before today, as this is a change to the terms? I got two Robbies do I get the promised 1000 points or only 500? I then ordered two Susan Boyles on the 7th Nov. where do I stand on that? Anyone know? TIA

I don't think you're doing anyone any favours describing this as '£11 profit'.

If you bought a £9 CD, you would get a £5 voucher. If you convert that to £20 of deals and then to cash by ebaying it, you'd get about £8, looking at past sales. Take off fees, and you're left with £6.75

It is NOT possible to make £11 worth of profit from this deal.

Yes, you do get £20 of deals for £9, but it's not a twenty pound note, is it....
