• They are listed at companies house. this company is insolvent and is a bout to be struck off. they are unscruppleless con men be ware
• Hi I am having problems with this company over the weekend I have had e-mails back and forth I told them I did not sign paper work that I think some one else did and I have know found out who but they want the information and my passport but i am not willing to give them this information so they say i need to pay the bill but they could not have done any work because i never gave them the banks details for who i was claiming from. Getting worried in eought debt without them wanting money for some think i did not do
• They are trying that one on me too. I have refused to give them cash and have complained to the Ombudsman who has told me that they have never presented the paper work. I told them to contact me only via the Ombudsman.

I would advise anyone to do the same.
• I recently discovered that I had a standing order set up paying Bank Smart the sum of £29.70 on a monthly basis. The last correspondence I had from this company was in September 2011 saying that a claim had been unsuccessful and I owed them approximately £170. The previous correspondence I had from them was in April 2008 following another claim for which I paid them £117. I believe that my standing order may have been set up from the start of the claims process and therefore up to December 2012 I have paid them over £1633! I wrote to Bank Smart on 14th December as they do not appear to have any contact telephone numbers. I pointed out the anomaly and said that I was disappointed that after 4 years they have not bothered to inform me that I was paying a monthly amount unnecessarily and that they refund me immediately. Suffice to say that up to today (7th January) I have not received a reply from Bank Smart and as such have e-mailed again, this time informing them that I will be sharing my communications with the FSA. I find there blatant ignorance appalling and a total contradiction given that they pride themselves on reclaiming Bank Charges yet do not pay back their own over charges. What is more alarming is that they have at no point told me that I was overpaying. More amusing is that they sent me a final demand letter threatening Bailiffs if I didn't pay their fee within 3 working days, yet they do not even respond to claims for payment from them within 4 weeks! Whilst I admit that it was a stupid oversight on my part, especially given that I am usually incredibly competent with my financial affairs, I am a little bit alarmed to read that Bank Smart appear to be equally ripping many other consumers off. This company needs investigating by the FSA as clearly they are not trading within the regulators standards.
• I have too fallen victim to bank smart and like most of you cant find anyone who will or can help.
It was about 2 years ago i gave them a mortgage account and 2 car finance accounts to look at. I paid my £10 for the mortgage and 1 of the car agreements i was unable to find an agreement number for the other so was told without it it could go no further.
so i waited i checked my online account with them for updates. ..nothing . then out of no where it appeared on line claim successfull on my mortgage £450! so i waited for my refund and after a couple of weeks contacted them and was assured it would be sent shortly.
then the account changed and fees appeared next to all the accounts even the inactive one which was the most expensive!
then under two it read paid with thanks you guessed it my refund lining their pockets. no matter how many emails or phone calles or letters sent to them not a penny has been sent back to me.
All i got was an abusive phone call ant told under no curcumstances was i to phone them and my account was blocked so i could no longer see what further charges they are adding.
last week i recived two threatening letters from debt collectors acting on their behalf for my outstanding bills one of £11 the other £135 .
i just keep ignoring the letters as i dont know what else to do the more money i give them the more i seem to owe :(
i hope someone can take these cowboys down .

Just to keep you all updated, I have continued to ignore them and they haven't done anything. It's been a couple years now. Don't let this idiots get the better of you, they are relying on your fear or stupidity in paying them.

It must be some sort of uniquely British thing where people pay anyone who puts the pressure on. They can't and won't do anything! You may as well put you money down the toilet.

Vitaminlee: How did you not notice nearly £30 coming out your account every month?
• I would urge you all to contact Bank Smart's regulator, who is the Ministry of Justice. They can provide you with help and advice on the problems you are having with Bank Smart. They helped me out and I have no more problems since contacting them. Their details are Claims Managment Unit, 57-60 High Street, Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire, DE14 1JS. Their telephone number is 01283-233309 or you can e-mail consumer@claimsregulation.gov.uk

I emailed Bank Smart yesterday and aid that since THEY came to Me and that there was no mention of charges on any of their paperwork i want to cancel my claim through them. They emailed back and said they would invoice me for services rendered!!!!
Emailing back to tell them there have been no services and if they would like to send me a printed copy of the charges they will be looking for my lawyer will be grateful. They will not be seeing a penny from me and I will be contacted the FSA.

I had a letter 10 weeks ago advising me that i was owed £3900 in PPI. It turns out this letter is from banksmart so i decided to look them up. It seems they charge and from what i see on this forum are best avoided. They never said anything about charges in their first letter, nor indeed in this 2nd letter. I thought that since it was a Welcome loan I'm due a refund on that it was initially the FSCS who had contacted me since i know they have been contacting other Welcome customers. I know you say i should have paid more attention but i didnt, my bad. How can i stop Banksmart from pursueing this as Welcome (the FSCS anyway) are doing this for me?

PEOPLE: contact the Ministry of Justice to complain about Bank Smart. They are their regulating body, and offer advice to consumers. Their number is 01283-233309, and e-mail address is consumer@claimsregulation.gov.uk

PayPal Multi-Claim 9139
Claim Created: 21/07/2011 18:32:02
Total Charge Amount: £36.00
Charge Commission: 10%
Charge Deduction: - £3.60
Settlement Amount: £32.40
Since I requested for my all my claims to cancel they are asking me to now pay £330. No explanation of the breakdown
2. Total Charge Amount: £24.00
Charge Commission: 10%
Charge Deduction: - £2.40

Settlement Amount: £21.60

Similarly, as above this is now charging me £ 361.20 for cancelling my claims. All the above claims started on 21/07/13 but until now they are not successful. They just says "An invoice has been issued to you for which we are currently awaiting payment."

Please help what should I do. They send me the statement on 28/01/13 thus it means by 14 days if I fail to pay they will increase their fees based on T&C's.
Can ignore their demand for payments
• Do nothing. As I did for several years. Ignore them as their phoney invoices and demands are worthless.
