Hi im333,
I see you've posted on "the great cheap laptop hunt" too... might be worth checking out the links that raeble posted after you... there is some great info on them (copied below for ease).
I have read enough on these sites to figure that it is a great deal, with the benefits far outweighing the possible risks (which are mainly about the support service being in Austria and not particularly friendly.
I will certainly be in the queue at 10am on Monday morning... see you there?

As already mentioned, this is a 15" TFT LCD monitor for £129.
There is also a 27" LCD TV in the sale too for £599 (labelled as the lowest price in the market).
See http://uk.aldi.com/sale/index.html for more info.0 -

is it worth getting?? do u think its a bargain at this price? For around £1070 i can get a top spec fujitsu siemens 64 bit AMD 3700+ laptop from laptopsdirect.co.uk
What is the quality of it like?? is it noisy as i would like a quiet machine...
I have amilo a 1630 3700 laptop and can confirm that its a cracker got a price match with a gig of memory to carry it around is a bit heavier than normal laptops and battery life is about the hour and half mark depending on use. I love this laptop cant think of anything bad to say plus the fact that you can upgrade it to next version of windows where i doubt you will find many other intel laptops capeable of doing that at this point in time!
well worth the extra money!. I have messed about with next version of operating system and drivers are a bit scarce but its fully able to do most things except for wireless and card reader . Put it back into normal windows xp and it will do everything that you through at it and then some. Problems you may encounter will be with minimum screen resolution but should be adequate for most peoples use and then some!0 -
how much did u pay for ur amilo 1630 mate? i have heard its a very good laptop, finding it hard to decide between that and this aldi laptop!0

Hmmm, looks good. Am going to have a look tomorrow.
Does anyone know if they accept Debit cards though? It's stupid if they only accept cash.....who would have a thousand quid lying around in the house?0
