A quick update, DD has got through to the semi final, :T that will either be next fri or the week after, to be announced on sunday online all very organised. It was a good night with lots of variety and some really good singers and performers, so hopefully she will get another chance and has a bit more time to find another song and to practise. All good. Pizza and baby pots done in the oven tonight we have one of our friends and kids over tonight, her hubby left for oz on Wednesday and she's going out in about 3 wks time, hopefully this will give him chance to sort things out before they arrive. So nice to have a chinwag and relax as most of the organising this end is now done, maybe one more bootsale and some cleaning and that should be it. Still raining here folks its unreal.:(Visa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Loan 2 €29,590 now €0 as of 22/02/2016 Mgage €55000/ €23,639 at 01/02/18

Thanks BC all welcome here. DD got through to the final in the talent contest so we have another 2 weeks to get organised for that. Really busy day Friday as DH was concreting outside for a new footpath in front of the new front door and his mate was helping him, weather not good again but still. Then his mate got a call that he had a viewing on his house and it was in a mess. So I had to go cleaning there to help him out. Id also been cleaing the other friends house the day before, followed by a late night at the talent contest so Saturday I was totally cream crackered and tbh did not a lot. Feeling better today and refreshed, DS2 has a nasty cough so is home today.
Had another issue with DD last week as we caught her bunking off waiting for a bus into the town, so had lots of meeting etc with her and school apparently new bf has much to do with things, so she is now pretty much under strict eyes iykwim!!! Never rains but it pours.
Animals all doing ok and had another duck egg today, Ned is doing fine too think I'll go have a chat with him!!:rotfl:Visa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Loan 2 €29,590 now €0 as of 22/02/2016 Mgage €55000/ €23,639 at 01/02/18

Morning turfy
Spent yesterday reading your diary and the house coming down round me:) It was a great read and have now subscribed. You have your hands full with the kids, duck, hens and Ned
. He looks lovely. One of my first memories are of being under our pear tree being sat on a donkey by my older brother and falling off. I can still vividly remember it all.
I know what you mean about kids test you to the limit. You are a good mother turfy and it will sort itself out. Boyfriends are a hit and miss thing aren't they.
You certainly have made great progress since arriving in the Gaelteacht (spelling)...I can just about say hello and goodbye and of course thank you. Only daughter has taken Irish for one of her 3 A Levels and even she finds it tough going. She has some great memories of summer in Donegal Gaelteacht.
You are from Wales and we spent some very happy summers when our kids were wee in Barmouth, Tenby and one great night in Rhyll!!!!!! Such a beautiful country.
Well I am away from up north ... one of the good football team countiesI have 3 cats and a few ugly calves that I have no responsiblilty for thank goodness looking in my window. They absolutely terrify me. I stay well clear of them. Might have something to do with the evening I went to pick blackberries and was chased by about 15 fresians. Climbed a tree and prayed ... never was so scared in all my life.
Looking foward to reading your diary and I know what you mean about washing. We spend our time running back and forward to the clothes line in this country. Love this place though, we are blessed to live in such beautiful surroundings.
Take care

Thanks for coming aboard ebay queen its nice to know someone else is enjoying my ramblings !
Well I made a nice pizza evening for friends on Tuesday and on Saturday afternoon we will be waving goodbye to my friend and her kids who are off to oz, her hubby has been there for the past month sorting out somewhere to rent etc etc, so that will be sad and now weve had our last hoorah its quite a sad time.:(
On another note we have a final at the local hotel tomorrow that DD has got through to so that should be some fun.
DH has gone out to fill potholes (a neverending task here) made worse by the fact that the council now cannot fill in roads like ours (ie ones that go nowhere) so they are just dropping off the tar and we have to manage away as they say in this neck of the woods, so himself and a local farmer are doing the job this afternoon, it makes me so mad:mad:
We have some friends from wales coming over on Tuesday till Sunday so that will be nice to catch up on all the news etc. Moneywise not doing too bad but have to make sure I have enought to cover the dreaded tax bill by next Thursday so fingers and everything else crossed and nothing unexpected we should be ok, enough rambling Im off to eat a lovely new boiled egg for lunch (laid this morning) yum. If you made it this far get yourself a well deserved cuppa cheers :beer:Visa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Oh how sad that your friends are leaving
**and** your DD is giving you the highs and the lows sort of at the same time :eek:
Home made eggs are very nice tho :j:j:j
Hope you're doing okay in general, it sounds so, anyway - the Gaeltacht.... so romantic. Have you seen Neil Oliver's History of Ancient Britain? Fascinating ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Pizzas sound yummy and good luck to your DD.
