Sorry to hear about the family problems, turfy. We encountered a similar problem when my sister created a "heritage book" on the family. I hope it sorts itself out for you - not sure whether it's a blessing or a nuisance you are geographically some way away from the wider family. Give Ned a cuddle - I'm sure he'll make you feel better about it.

Karmacat - I think the anecdote is perfect for a biography on a family member.

The sun is trying very hard to shine here, but it's a losing battle at the moment. I'm not sure I'd be dipping in the sea today.

Rain today yuk. DH has gone off to work and I have some jobs to do around the house, should really begin some painting that Ive been putting off. May shuffle off and try to find the rollers etc.

No wordsmith, she has just finished transition year and will be going into 5th week after next. Its that way as when we moved here the kids had no "Irish" and as this is an irish speaking area schools etc, the decision was to but both my daughter and son back two years so that they could learn irish and not get behind with studies. So they will both be finishing school at the grand old age of 20!!! But I suppose that will be ok as there are not many jobs out there anyway at the mo. My youngest who is 10 next week is the only one that will finish school at the right time.:T

Gosh, it must have been quite a culture shock for them. Well done them for achieving that! Have you learnt any Irish yourself? I'd like to learn, but it seems incredibly hard and I was never a natural at languages.

Sorry havent been on for a bit, been helping some friends in preparation for their move to OZ.!!!

Wordsmith, yes the kids are all fluent and even the irish people here cant believe how good they are, apparently is as they havent picked up any bad habits so have learned properly. I can only manage a few words, as you say it does seem very difficult to grasp.

Onward an upward last but one loan payment out today :T but yet another tight month, hope to make it through though.
