Isn't it a relief to get a good internet connection! When I moved here last year and found there was no cable, and then how unreliable the phone connection seemed to be, I thought I'd made a real mistake, but its fine now - just took a while to sort itself out, like Z was telling me.

Glad you found the abscess for Ned, poor thing. But oh my word, 2nd degree burns for DD? Thats *so* not good .... hope she's feeling a bit better.

And you'll be off on your trip soon? Excellent! Are you looking forward to it, or is it more in the line of duty?

That was a good long trip! And the boys and OH are off again now? A couple of hours, at least, have to be devoted to girlie luxury, you know. Its a European law, and you know we have to obey those :D

Hi KC yes our trip was mainly so we could catch up with the family. DH did a couple of jobs for my dad too which will save them finding someone who would probably rip them off , so thats good. On the down side we found out some other family news which wasnt so good. We couldnt really afford the time or the break but when its family you have to. Im glad to be back and could do with some time to get this place sorted out so much to be done. Animals are all ok and we really need to sort out a front door for the porch as its open to the elements although the roof is now almost finished. Feels like a never ending project at this stage.
Weather looks miserable again today although its trying to brighten up. Really heavy rain last night, hope the campers were ok Im awaiting a phone call :rotfl:

Sorry about the difficult family news - sometimes things are very hard to cope with. For me, allowing time for things to sink in, and then trying to stay positive myself, thanks to what I've found on this site, has been so helpful it'd be hard to over-emphasize.

But I take it you don't feel too sorry for your campers, at least :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks KC were trying to deal with this, I cant go into it too much suffice to say someone has well and truly upset the apple cart, and my hobby of genealogy has been tested a real case of "who do you think you are" on hubbys side, so lots of upset caused and no real answers.
Still havent heard from the campers they must be ok they have met up with some friends of ours who are also up there surfing with shine which is an autistic charity who take loads of kids surfing so hopefully they are having a ball.

Sometimes genealogy really can cause problems, can't it ... I had a little example recently myself. I did a biography of my great grandmother, a hot tempered matriarch if ever there was one, who held the family together during her mother's death when she was only 9 years old. But one of her granddaughters, who's now a lady of 80 herself, is really upset about an anecdote I've included, that she'd chase her 2nd husband around the house with a broom ... I love it, it brings to life this otherwise incredibly goody goody woman, but the now-elderly granddaughter hates me for it. I can't let that anecdote die ....

Hope you find a way round your much more serious problems soon.

No you definitely cant let that one die, its so brilliant, perhaps I could try and chase DH around with a broom, wonder what he'd say :rotfl:. I dont think this prob will go away somehow and has further reaching effects. Some people should really say something when it matters instead of putting their head in the sand and hoping it will go away. Im mad because it will affect my children and it could have been avoided. Anyway enough of my rambling hopefully we will get to the bottom of it.

The sun has actually put in an appearance in the past half hour thank goodness :T Debs went well and she looked gorgeous well they all did and no overindulgence either which is far too sensible :rotfl: The boys will be back later today and the youngest is actually going to get into the sea today, so fingers crossed its not too stressfull for all involved (glad Im not there).

I really have to concentrate on back to school stuff now I hate this time of year and really enjoy the freedom of having them all off school. Hey ho.
